A Challange!

I look around the abandoned shop. Perfect! I set to work cleaning up the accumulated dust.

I mark the floor to the left of the room 16ft from the right wall and 5ft from the left wall. On the right wall, made of rough wooden planks, I place a paper with a small white center surrounded by four green rings and 3 white rings of equal width. The center is marked with a one, each ring is marked with a consecutive number from 2 to 8 (outside ring).

“I have no money, I have no prizes, but when could a man ever resist a challenge? Let’s see who’s the better knife thrower.”

- Three double-spin throws each. -
- No retries. -
- Stand anywhere behind the mark on the floor. –

On his first throw, Koku hits the first ring. It was a good solid throw. Unfortunately, while he has excellent power (Much to my embarrassment, I can barely get the second throw out of the wall!), his aim only gets worse.

Throw one: first ring, 2pts
Throw two: fifth ring, 6pts
Throw three: seventh ring, 8pts

Total: 16pts

Kreios' first throw lands solid in the first ring. But his second misses the paper all together burying deep into the wood. His next throw could not be more different. Throwing the knife, it hits the center point, but with the handle not the blade. I almost duck as it careens off wildly and comes close to breaking a window.

Throw one: first ring, 2pts
Throw two: off target, 9pts
Throw three: knife didn't stick, 10pts

Total: 21pts

With his first two throws, Archaic shows himself to be a master at knife throwing. Perhaps it's an assassin thing? Though the first knife barely went in, I really have to put some muscle into removing the second. I, at any rate, am startled at his last throw. Not only does the knife ricochet off the wall, but it barely made it in the target zone where it hit.

Total: 14pts

I see the game. It remind me of something from my home country so I decide to give it a try.

ETH’s first two throws leave everyone wincing, both land in the seventh ring. The last throw is a nice comeback. It lands in the first ring, though it barely sticks into the wall.

Throw three: first ring, 2pts

Total: 18pts
