So guys imagine that cheese {any kind of cheese, no every kind of cheese} had concious thought.
What would it say if it happened to be getting it's picture taken?
Would it still say cheese? or something else... like human? I don't know :/
For that matter why do we say cheese?
What it is about thinking about cheese that makes people smile?
Do you smile when you think of cheese? I don't.
Maybe it's just that ridiculous that when a photographer say 'say cheese' you have to smile.

| I believe that all dairy has conscious thought. It orchestrates evil events to attack me and my lactose intolerant brethren. If it said something when getting photographed it would be "Death to the Humans" which would make it smile;. |

I have slight lactose intolernace. just enough that when I do eat dairy, I get gas. And I dont mean burps.
oh, ya, the topic at hand. We say cheese for it makes it seem smiling, or at least make it so that you have a bigger smile. _________________ When I visit reality, I go as a tourist

I think it will depend if it has a mouth or not. If it does, then it will try to say somethign that would make its mouth in a form of a psychotic smile of evil. If it does not have a mouth that can be seen, then it will just mumble something evil, or wonder why it is getting its photo taken. _________________

I get that when a person says cheese the 'eese' part would make it seem like you're smiling, but forced smiles are not pretty smiles!! Maybe photographers should telling jokes or something instead.
Also unlike most of you I don't see cheese as something evil... it's a bit intriguing that you all do. _________________ What if there were no hypothetical situations? |

Oh no I do not see it evil, but I think it has a right to hate us. I mean we do make it just to eat. I think it would want revenge. _________________

| Perhaps it started when most cheeses has a pungent odor to them, like limburger. Or maybe the reactions of the minor lactose intolerant, like Schmall. Cheese can be evil, but my family and I eat it to no end. Cheese, in my opinion, is better than most junk foods, and there are many classes of cheese. That is until they succeed on clogging the pipes, then it is evil. |

Well I can understand why people that are lactose intolerant find cheese somewhat evil. Though most cheese is good, I find a lot of it quite disgusting but never evil. _________________ What if there were no hypothetical situations? |

| Well there is an other reason why I said photographers would have us say "knee" and that is because the Japanese say that (granted it is spelled differently and is their word for the number 2) thus it would work and accomplish the same trickery as cheese. |

I would think that any word that ends with the 'eeee' would work really. _________________ What if there were no hypothetical situations? |

Not everyone goes for the smile you know. Some people (well OK the French I think) like the look of the mouth being in an O shape as they find it sophisticated or something, and as such I think they say formage- which I also think means cheese. _________________

ehem.....well i have knowledge of the comotations of that in photography and i can't post about what they mean(not what you just thought btw) due to the terms and conditions. But lets jsut say that it denotes extreme......ecstasy if that is your expression when photographed. It become a popular(for its meaning, and still uncommon) way to view it first with worhal and his monroe prints.
