Iced tea vs lemonade

To me these two beverages have always been major adversaries as far as summer drinks. Each distinctly different and available with its own unique variations(iced tea can come with lemon or whatnot, and lemonade is available in multiple flavors), they are both liquids that i am sure you are familiar with. Also purchased in similar containers, both share the same method of concoction.

I choose lemonade. The taste of iced tea never appealed to me. At the same time, i feel the flavor variations make it superior. Like strawberry lemonade, but regular and pink are still classics!

I love the taste of iced tea, but only if its like Nestea or whatever coke's ice tea is called... "brisk" or something like that. Its sweet tasting and thus to me more desirable than the sour and not always refreshing lemonade. Still... lemonade could win if only because it makes a better freeze pop.

Ice tea for me please. It is sweet and I like the taste a lot more. I do not like the salty/ bitter taste of lemonade. Nothing is better then ice tea after a hard days work.

Wait, i dont understand these arguments at all, i have never had lemonade that is anything but sweet. When you make it from powder it is essentially sugar. I would describe iced tea to be whats bitter. true if you load it up on sugar yourself, then iced tea can be sweet, but it always has the bitterness to it. I was just so surprised that others think lemonade is bitter.....why have you been drinking?

I only drink the bottled iced tea, so it is the sweetened type. As for the lemonade, I can recall drinking a couple of sour cups of that. As for the powder stuff, that may actually be too sugary for me as odd as it sounds. I love sweets, but there is a limit to my sugar intake.

Well lemonade should be a little bitter or sour, it should be like lemons. Ice tea should be slightly, but not as much. I had some sugar crap too but I did not find it to sweet, more pure ick. Ice tea is not fully seat, and might be slightly bitter , but not as much as lemonade should be.

I like the non-sweetened ice tea. Over loading is good once in a while is good. Lemonade just gives me a weird aftertaste. I like the powder stuff themselves. Just the strength of the sugar and bitterness is awesome to me.

I go for lemonade. any kind of iced tea just doesn't agree with my tastebuds at all.
If lemonade is made right it's not to sour. For instance my brother got some very delicious fresh lemonade at the fair a few weeks ago.. best lemonade I've ever had.

I just cant stand any kind of tea. Tried many different kinds and have drank some without knowing it was tea. I spewed it all over the place. I love lemonade. I always make it stronger than normal.

I am similar with fish. However, did you try ice tea. The sugar stuff barely has any taste (IF any) resembling tea. Can't say what the taste is like though.

I have tried every kind of iced tea. I will take sun warm water over fresh, chilly iced tea anytime. as for making my lemonade, if it says 2 thingies of powder, I put in 2.25 - 2.5 thingies and add a good squirt of real lemon juice to give it a tang. mmmmm sounds good just typing about it. I love lemonade.

Nice, im glad i have some more lemonade fans on my side, for a while it thought this was going to be a very one sided poll and i was in shock. I agree with both schmall and chippit, that all the iced tea that i have had just tastes putrid, and yes i have had the coca cola brand and nestea. However, unlike schmall i am an avid tea drinker, just not "iced tea".

Well I think putrid is a bit of a strong word. As for lemonade, I got some that was so bitter that it was purely unpleasant. I think it really just depends on people's taste and the way the drink was made. I also think my judging may be askew as I recently had ice tea I made, that was not too sugary, but just right, giving it a sweet taste.

Has anyone tried iced tea like how they make iced coffee? Brew the tea first, then ice it? That might be good, then again might get watery like iced coffee after a while. Its also that I don't like lemonade, sweet or bitter, just prefer iced teas' sweetness or bitterness. Downing the powder is a great way to wake up.

I like iced tea, but only real iced tea, not the lemon flavored stuff, or the canned stuff, ick, I lick to make ice tea with black tea and a bit of sugar, so yummy ^_^
