As the carriage pulls up, the three adventurers get on bored. In the middle of the plane the carriage stops and they get out. After paying the 20GC each they are allowed to go and hunt for Lump birds.
"Remember" the tour guide says, "once the carriage comes back you must get in it, no waiting. So plan accordingly. Happy hunting"

Schmall looks around for the most likely area for Lump birds. Suddenly realizing he has abolutly no idea what he is looking for as signs, he insteads turns to Lumpy and strikes up a conversation with him in hopes of getting others to respond.

"Fwut"
"Fwwuutt fwut"
"Fwut fwut fwut fwwwut"
"Fwut"

Schmall pauses on occasion to listen for any other bird calls.

Schmall hears other lump birds calling from the bushes, but none make their way over to him.

Schmall casually wanders over to the bushes where the bird calls can be heard. He continues his conversation with Lumpy in order to encourage other birds to join in.

Schmall enters the bushes slowly and with ease so to not spook any of the lazt birds. He is looking for a group of birds that are close together.

Schmall sees three lump birds sleeping close to each other. One of them wakes up just long enough to look at Lumpy and Schmall before going back to sleep.

With a grin, Schmall takes his cloak off. He quiets Lumpy by setting him down with a signal of staying put and also sets his bisento down. He folds the cloak in half lengthwise and hold each set of corners.

Schmall then approaches the three sleeping lump birds with his improvished net. He sweeps the cloak down over the birds, scoops all three into the cloak, and swifly bring all four corners together. He shifts his both of his hands just below the joining of the corners in order to prevent any escape.

If this all works, Schmall will take his time tieing the four corners together so that he doesnt need to struggle to keep the birds captive.

EDIT: About my cloak net, think of holding two corners of a sheet in each hand. by doing so you may an improvised parachute. Think along those lines. That is what I am using. This is to help override the lump bird powers I hope.

Schmall attempts this but the lump birds get out of the way as if by instincts. One bird was almost caught, but in the last second broke free. It walked over to Schmall and bit him before walking away and going back to sleep.

after being bit, Schmall takes advantage of the attack. He pounces on the bird and grabs it by both feet and holds it upside down. This causes the blood to rush to the bird's head and will calm instantly {ooc: like holding a chicken upside down in RL}

Once the bird is calm, Schmall will wrap hiscloak around it and secure it so that it will not escape him this time around!

"You are mine birdie!!" exclaims Schmall.

The bird is already too far away to just be pounced on, and now he is weary of your presence. Occasionally waking up when he hears you approach him slowly.

Ignoring the birds now, Schmall looks in the bushes themselves in search of a nest. "Now if I can just find a nest and upset a mother birdy enough to attack me, I can get another bird," mutters Schmall to himself. He keeps his cloak at hand so that it can still be used as a net.

Looking in the bushes he stumbles across a lump bird with a common knife still wedged in its skin. It looks at him and simply open and closes his beak creating a small sound.

Schmall bends over the bird feeling bad for it. He sits down beside the bird, cooning the entire time. He slowly reaches out and pets the bird gently on the head. When the bird warms up to him, he gently pulls the common knife out of the bird and bandages him up to the best of his ability without hindering its wings.

If the wounded bird will allow it, schmall will pick him up and carry him over to the spot where the carriage will arrive. He calls Lumpy over to his shoulder.

"Lumpy my pal, I just might have found you a friend," says Schmall to Lumpy. "Possibly even a mate. we will have to find out later to be sure."

Schmall takes the common knife, but as he bandages the bird, it bleeds out too much, trying not stop the blood, Schmall is unsuccessful and the bird dies in his hands.

Disappointed that the bird died, Schmall has lumpy flies off to prevent him from seeing what happens next.

Schmall uses the common knife to field dress the Lump bird and drains the last of the blood out. He sets the bird down near where the carriage will arrive so that he may take the bird with him so that he can make some Lumpbird on sticks.

Schmall continues his search for a nest to provoke a female Lump bird so that he can capture it with his cloak net.

As Schmall goes back, the carriage arrives away from where he thought it would, having no time, he gets back into the carriage,as well as Lord Obagon and Koorlic, who both got refunded.
