So in Gintama(an amazing anime that you should all worship!) there are two characters that stand as total opposits(is that called foils?)
One is Gintoki who is the main character, putting everything about him aside except for this. He feels that all food must be covered in the sweet yesness that is red Beans. When going to his most visited shop he even asks for(yes its listed), the Gintoki Special. This is simply rice.....covered in red beans.
Two is Hijikata the second in command of the Shinsengumi (secret police for the shogun). He also has a special named after him at that shop. It is the Hijikata special...which is just rice covered with mayonnaise.
With these two indivudals in mind i decided to make my argument.
Maynaisse is full of fatty products and gluten! At the same time it has a ridiculous amount of cholesterol! In addition, it is nearly the same color as rice, so it doesnt add aesthetically to the dish! thusly, mayonaisse should never be put on rice!

Indeed, and how can anything touch red bean, it is so sweet and makes great food. Red bean goes good with a lot of things, especially with sweet food. I say red been is much better, and can belong on rice. _________________

| Hrmm as awkward as Mayo is on rice, I feel that it goes well with just about every sandwich out there, especially the delicious BLT. However, I have never had red beans and thus I do not know their taste, but still for now I will have to stick with my bias and say that Mayo is the superior tasting condiment even if redbeans are more healthy. |

If solidified rice bean cubes are like red bean fudge/ tofu, then yes I fully agree. On the topic of tofu, it is bean curd, so can it be that some tofu may be made from red bean. If so I think that may work for and or against red bean. Still red bean is great, and has plenty of rich flavor, unlike the unrefined taste of mayo. _________________

| I dont think any tofu is made from red bean, also tofu is bean curd, not the bean itself. Solidified red bean paste is exactly like red bean fudge and it is amazing and often eaten with tea. As a matter of fact green tea and redbean go great together. I even have these crackers that have a green tea flavored filling with whole red beans mixed in. |

I haven't had enough red beans, but I eat black beans to no end. Yet red bean fudge (paste) sounds like it would have a sort of gritty texture. As for those crackers, that sounds good, and where did you get them? _________________ "I know you are here to kill me. Shoot, coward, you are only going to kill a man." |

| K, bean! I find your argument false(i say half jokingly but in good humor). Have you ever truly had redbeans? they are nothing like the black bean of the west. these eastern beans that i speak of are smooth and amazing! the paste is like gelatin, but harder more savory than you could imagine! All the food that is them is amazing! Behold their glory! |

Like I said, I haven't had enough, and I think the last time I had them they were in a salad. Didn't really pay much mind to them. Besides, I'm used to western beans. I might have had red beans in burritos, but I think they were unintentionally mixed in black beans. _________________ "I know you are here to kill me. While I don't enjoy red bean in anything but mochi, I have to say the mere thought of mayonnaise grosses me out... so red bean wins i guess _________________

Mayonnaise is kind of a delicate condiment and food medium (holds things together, like in potato salad). If there's too much, you will quickly realize it and barf. If there is too little, things fall apart, the tastes don't blend right, and so on. You can have too much ketchup, its a matter of opinion, but it is usually A LOT of ketchup. With mayo, the slightest amount can mean disaster. Like when friends dare you to eat mayo. Not me thankfully. _________________ "I know you are here to kill me. I once ate a mayo packet alone, but still, the mighty red bean wins hands down. it is so delicious and I wish it were easier to get here. _________________

Mayonnaise should be used for sandwiches and fries alone. Not on rice, that's blasphemy! _________________ "Art is science made clear." -Jon Cocteau |
