My first disc that got a major scratch!
The original katamari.
I figured...well, it should still play, but uh....no.
When playing there was a light mosaic over everything, plus let me sing the BG music for you!
"Eh.....Eh.....Eh....Eh.....Eh....Eh.....Eh....Eh.....Eh....Eh.....Eh....Eh.....Eh....Eh
.....Eh....Eh.....Eh....Eh.....Eh....Eh.....Eh....Eh.....Eh....Eh.....Eh....Eh.....Eh....Eh
.....Eh....Eh.....Eh....Eh.....Eh....Eh.....Eh....Eh"
It was sad, but at least i have beautiful katamari on the way.

That is horrible, I hate it when my disks get scratched up and ruined. So far I have had to replace my Xenosaga game, FFX, FFX2, and I still can't find a replacement for my original Digimon World game, (got a ROM of it though) but still prefer PSX version. _________________ "So they want to kill my men? Will disk doctor help it any, or is it just a huge gouge?
If you don't have disk doctor, you can try rubbing the silver part of the disk with toothpaste then rinsing it off. It worked for me when I borrowed my friend's ratchet and clank game, but it just had a lot of small scratches on the back, so I don't know if it will work on a deep cut. |

| Yeah, its a pretty deep gouge, and i fear that it is beyond salvation. To obagon though, that is most unfortunate, as that is alot of disks, but clearly their damage corresponds to their usage, so im sure they had good productive lives, and that the new copies were safely shelved. |

Sucks about katamari. As for mine, I bought used, and beat them each several times before their deaths. That is except for my Digimon game that I bought new, but it was my first game for PSX that I owned and was played for at least 400hrs. My only real problem is finding another copy of it since it hasn't been made for over 10 years. _________________ "So they want to kill my men? Well two can play at that game."

Yeah I've never had a real bad problem with my game discs... well except for the original wild arms for PSX. Still, severe game scratches hurt more than scratches on your own body! However, at least Katamari still has a (very slight) chance of getting a little cheaper. _________________

Sounds like the jade cocoon syndrome. With that in mind the digimon game you were talking about, is that the one where you train them and all the models are always actively on screen, but I could only manage to get the poop monster? If so, i need to hook myself up with a copy of that! ASAP! |

Yes that is exactly the one I was talking about! That game is amazing, I even have the guide book just to make sure I didn't miss anything. Oh and I have the ROM for it, I don't know if their is a mac version of the PSX emulator, probably, but I could send you that until you find a copy. _________________ "So they want to kill my men? While i do appreciate the sentiment, it is impossible to emulate psx on mac. You can set a mac up quite easily to play PSX games from discs, but not to play rom files(in any form, bin/cso/iso, ect) the only way would be to use roxio toast to mount it to a cd, but while there are rumors of it working, the developers tell individuals that it currently is not possible, and that they are not working on a version that works with iso files.
However, for a disc solution, you can get a copy of the game for 35 or less on ebay

Yeah I checked ebay too as well as several other places and it is usually at least 30. You could however buy the brand new factory sealed one for 199. _________________ "So they want to kill my men? Well two can play at that game."
