Looking up, the interior of the palace is overly done. Gold nearly drips from the walls and ceilings and treasures of unimaginable wealth are tossed carelessly about. The throne itself is enormous and could in fact sit several people. The Emperor however is the only only upon it. Propped upright and looking forward, He occasionally plays with His nunchaku. The stairs leading to the throne are trimmed with silver and made from a marble to not even the richest of men could afford. To the left of the throne, at the bottom of the stairs stands Koku, and to the right waits Beanbaker.

In His eccentric and colorful attire, The Emperor waits for those who come to Him for advice or help. Be it with their province or with an upcoming battle.

"Enter those who are worthy of Our presence and tell Us what you need!"

*Archaic walks into the court and kneels as he begins to address Billgar.*

"His Eminence the Emperor Billgar, I have traveled back here from the land of Evroul where thou requested taxes to be collected. However, at the arrival of the town one can see that the town is not receiving a lot of outside trade and is in need of the money they earn, thus I must ask you to negotiate with them. They cannot afford to pay the 2,000GC a month for taxes, and even as we speak they only have 1,300 GC which they were going to put towards medicine and supplies for the village. Therefore I was wondering if you mind if they pay in something else, perhaps paying some GC, but also giving you a few Tonsor, Hae He and of course a few bundles of Uticensium. They are but a village in need of more outside trading, and thus by accepting this deal and selling the superior quality goods in the market, surely that trade will generate and over a short period of time they could afford to pay you the 2,000 GC that you desire. I apologize if this sounds pretentious your Eminence, but this way really will generate more trade and money flow on the Kingdom of Nocte. I thank you for hearing me out your Eminence."

*Billgar stops swinging his nunchaku and holds them steady in his left hand*

"Verywell, if the village is in that dire of a state we can of course accept taxes in other forms. Every month, on the 26th day they are to give to the kingdom 1000GC, 5 Hae He, 2 Tonsor, and 50 Uticensium Seeds. You can be in charge of this for this month as it is your party which has taken the request Which we issued. Bring the items back here with yourself and any members of your party that are of appropriate rank. I shall send Koku back with you to assure that this all goes smoothly."

*billgar hands archaic a scroll with the imperial stamp as a seal. It contains a list of the aforementioned item list.*

*Archaic walks into court bringing with him Beanbaker and Schmall. With them is 1000GC, 5 Hae He, 2 Tonsor, and 50 Uticensium Seeds.*

Schmall is immediately removed by Koku upon entrance.

"Ignoring the FACT the YOU brought a FARMER into the royal court, you did well."

*just as he says that, a tonsor runs out from behind the throne, and*

'clup clup clup' it warbles out.

"Gerald!" His emminence runs off the throne to catch him.

*Koku coughs and signals to beanbaker to retrieve the bird(which he does)*

"Very well, we shall take these tax items. We have placed the aforementioned bounty in your vaults."

*archaic and beanbaker exit*

After a long ride Obagon and Koku arrive at the court, and walk in to hear what the result is of all that has transpired.

Entering the throne room a most horrific sight is seen.

A table is within the middle of the room, and the emperor sits at it drinking tea. Gerald(his tonsor) rests upon his head, and a lacrimabilis forced into shrine maiden attire sits accross from him. Looking up from his tea, he sees Koku, but ignores him and continues to drink. Resting his teacup upon the table, he claps his hands. A curtain that was off to the side raises revealing a large glass aquarium with two Validian Serpents within it.

"A Merchant brought these to us today as an offering in order to recieve good fortune. Seeming that you took care of the problem at hand out at lake Validus you each may have one. They are silly creatures anyways."

Schmall walks in, sword respectably left with the royal guard, with the local barkeep between himself and Koku. The barkeep is sweating profusely and looks extremely nervous.

Schmall bows to the emporer and waits for permission to rise. With it, he announces, "My Eminence, I have brought to you a spy. A spy who has been using the tavern as a method of eavesdropping, filching, pinching, stealing, and bribing for information about and against the great Land of Nocte. He has been recording all the information here in this journal." Schmall passes the journal to a royal guard who of course walks over the the Emporer to hand it to him. "I have not fully read the journal, but read enough to safetly suspect and accuse him of this crime. I have delivered the journal and the accused to you for you to ultimately judge for it is not my place to do so."

"The only one who will expel this man would be me. I feel he has done me great wrong. Making me work in the pub as he slept sometimes. I feel extremely betrayed and should not let him get away with it." I glare evily at him, wanting nothing more than to spill his blood outside.

Funny you were faster to jump on request to getting to kill him. I believe it may be good to find out who he was trying to aid, but still. If you just follow me to the arena I am sure we can talk about this more.
