"To begin though very few here are present, We should express that this is an open meeting to all citizens both experienced and inexperienced in the political world.

Through Our journey, much has transpired, and individually after this meeting, We shall speak with many of you about specific changes that should happen throughout the kingdom.

Let us begin with speaking of the many changes that are going to occur.

Running our politics off of the feudal system is a sound method of government, however We feel that it has diminished in its effectiveness to a degree. With Baron Archaicmessiah being one of the few who still reap the rewards of this chain of command.

As a result, from here onward, We shall distinguish ones socio-economic and political standing from ones governmental position. By doing so individuals may reap the benefits of classes whilst still holding jobs of importance.

I need individuals of Merchant class or higher to volunteer for the following positions.

Imperial Advisor*
Minister of the Left
Minister of the Right

The Imperial Advisor serves as the next in line to the power of the Kingdom. Their main job is to limit the powers of the Emperor and assist in running the Kingdom.

Essentially the minister of the left commands the military forces of Nocte. Though decisions on war inevitably need to be approved by Us and the Imperial Advisor.

Minister of the Right, a position of seemingly great power. They control the tax flow and are in charge of the kingdoms finances.

Once I have some volunteers for these important positions, We shall begin on other matters. Please Note as Well that Being a Guard is now a position and no longer rank.

*Will be given as a rank, not as a position

"I understand, I will continue being the imperial guard and just let someone else take one of those positions, just know I am not above cutting them down if need be." With that I smirk while holding onto my scythe.

Though, We do respect your decision, we must implore you to take on another role. Though if you strongly resist, we shall not force you. However, the position of Captain of the Imperial Guards will soon become a position, and you will resume the normal ranking system. Though it would mean a slight cut in power your assistance with the kingdom would still be called upon as often if not more so than it is now. Please choose wisely and take time to consider if you feel that you need to.. Also pay head to the fact that the position of Advisor is in actuality a Rank, as it places you outside of the normal chain of command.

"I apologize, but I am not wanting of power at this time, what I seek is blood and knowledge. While being in charge of the military might be fun, it is too much responsibility and seems like it could get dry. I shall instead continue my quest in search of books.

Speaking of which, I want to thank you for the item that I received earlier. I shall try to break the curse, and once that is done I shall take a leave from duties to focus on obtaining the legendary book. Of course I say this, but if you ask me to assassinate someone along the way, I will gladly assist you that way. In this sense, consider me the ambassador of the under; I shall navigate through towns trying to pick up information on whatever you wish, while at the same time trying to fulfill my own goals."

Baron We anticipated you turning down the offer for power, so We are in no state of shock.
However, We hope you realize that once you obtain the rank of Daimyo, you shall have power whether you desire it or not, it comes with the title.

That aside, since you offered, We do have a bit of a mission for you. To say the least, on Our journey some rather powerful and unsavory characters seem to have been made enemies of the kingdom. If you can find out about a certain man named Necar, please relay this information to Us immediately."

I shall try to locate this 'Necar' for you, and from there I shall send a message out for you relying his location. By the way, can you give me any hints to break this curse on the box?"

Thinking it over I finally come to a decision. "I suppose I am the most qualified to become the Imperial Advisor, and so I will claim that position. No need letting it go to someone who I can take down."

"Sadly, Archaic few hints were found on Our travels. It seems that many have tried countless methods and that the tome only allows itself to be angered by the same person twice. So be careful not to aggravate it too greatly. the first time, it causes heat as a warning that it wishes to be left alone. The second , it shocks the ensuer, and the third often varies, but its results are not the least bit pleasant.

On the note of Necar, We suggest that you avoid making actual contact with him. He is an individual who possesses unfathomable power. We do apologize, but for the time being, I can say no more.

Koku! well put, We were hoping that you would except. Now with some appointments out of the way, let us continue.

As mentioned Necar is most likely within Nocte, but he is not the only power at work. Due to some rather unfortunate circumstances on Our journey, others have congregated here as well. Fot the time being we must generate some greater ideas in regards to security. We hoped for a minister of the left and the right, but We shall serve in their stead for the time being.

Koku, what are your thoughts? also where is the second in command?"

"He is probably slacking off like usual. As for the other thoughts, it may be best to find their strengths and weaknesses before approaching. So far it seems one is able to cast either illusions or shadows that can actually inflict real damage. He is the one that Daishi was thinking about if I am not mistaking. If so we are in trouble."

You mean Dachi? Where does this knowledge of his power come from? Regardless, We believe that beside him there are still other great power that are within this land, which seem to be pushing it in quite the opposite direction from what is desired. If perhaps the other two province lords could show up, we would be able to plan out some real tactics.

After sitting down and reading over the manuscripts, I pop my head up. "Necar... is he the one that can cast these 'illusions and shadows?' It may seem like I hit my head a little too hard, but at Evroul, I wandered into a room where the bandits were. Out of nowhere I was was in an infinite field, and some lady was there too.... After what seemed to be a few days, a man wielding a red scythe, appearing from darkness, asked me what I would give for freedom. Then I woke up here. Does this make sense to anyone here?"

I scratch my head. "Does anyone by chance know what day it is?"
