After several days of travel, you see the sprawling town of Validus spread out, nestled between the lee of the hill you are stand on and the lake. The famous Lake Validus. The lake known for its pack serpents that will strip the flesh from you bones in 3 seconds. A lake of massive proportions with a small mountain island poking up through the middle of the lake, obscuring the far side of the lake from your view.
The shadow of the lake creeps across the waters as the sun begins to lower down behind the mountain. You notice that all the boats, no matter their purpose, avoiding the shadow. They don't even linger at the edges. Movement within the town catches your eye and you turn your head to see a group of Wasses dash from the water's edge towards the forest for the night. You watch as the children join in, laughing as the wasses give squeals of pleasure as they playfully race the children. You cant help but smile at this.
Finally, before descending down the hill, you survey the town itself. The town of Valid lazily sprawls out under the hill and reaches out into the lake itself. Three prominent wharves stab out like wooden fingers, give the town the appearance of a three fingered glove. One of these wharves, you later learn it is called the Old Wharf, appears to be in a rather run down condition. Reminding you of a poor section of a large city. You see homes and shops lined up along the wharf. You see signs for rope makers, potters, woodcarvers, weavers, fishers, and several other signs you are unable to read at this distance. The middle wharf, Serpent Wharf, appears to be in much better condition. You see smoke shacks and butchers lined up and down this wharf. Many fishing vessels are also tied to this wharf. The third wharf, the New Wharf, appears to be where the wealthier and well off merchants of the town are located. The wharf itself is small compared to the others, but it made of stone instead of wood like the other two. Only a few houses and shops can be seen. There is also three lake brigs secured to this wharf. Two of them you can see activity reminding you of merchant ships, the third remind you of a ship of war with its style and the amount of bow racks and barrels of arrows on deck.
After taking several minutes to take this all in, you descend the hill to enter the town and to experience the virtues of Validus.

| After having appointed a new lord to Validus province his Eminence decides it best to go and take a look around. Riding in on the back of a Lacrimabilis borrowed from the Imperial Stables he descends into Valid. Looking around the emperor takes in the various sights. Entering the town he rides into the old warf for a closer look around. |

*Archaic decides to check out the new province.. Validus or something like that. Archaic didn't really remember too much about it besides for the fact that it has a lake. Taking the tour he didn't really pay attention too much and just zoned out as he drank water to stay hydrated in the hot sun.*
"Tch, its too darn hot here! And now I have to use the bathroom. mumble grumble mumble grumble."
*Archaic getting an idea separates from the group and hes to the direction of the lake. Jumping in the lake, the cool water extinguishes the heat on his skin and gives him an other idea. Climbing out of the lake he pulls down his armor and releases his stream into the lake*
"Ah so this is what its good for."
*Archaic pulls up his armor and walks away* |

While wandering down the Old Wharf, the boards creak omniously under the Lacrimabilis. As the sun approaches the horizon in the distance, all fishers start to pile into thier boats and push off. It becomes a fishing frenzy out on the lake as the fishers all compete for the best fishing spots. They lucky ones start hauling in large serpents and quickly dispatch them with axes and clubs. The unlucky few get pulled in and never seen again. One thing remains the same though, no one fishes in the long shadow of the mountain. _________________ When I visit reality, I go as a tourist

A stick finds its way into the joint of the armor of Archaic.
"Be respective to the land. Serpents don't wizz on your floor, so it would be wise not to do the same to them. Besides, it might be wise to stay out of the water for the most part."
------------------------------------------------------------
I walk into the Old Wharf section. A more humble setting, less posh than the Serpent Wharf. "Maybe Schmall opened another tavern. I wonder where he gets all those drinks..."
I see some homeless, but they seem more properly outfitted from my last visit. "Maybe Schmall can do wonders for this place."
I return to my usual getaway spot on the plateau overlooking the entire area.
