schmall koorlic and I have decided to pick an MMORPG to play together. actually it was part of the reason I came back to this site

but thats besides the point. i searched and searched and searched for a good mmorpg that we could play and I eventually found Aion.

the game looks interesting and definitely has some pretty amazing graphics. another game i am thinking about though is diablo III. aion will be out first and is much different from diablo III but i dont know which one to pick.

ok well ive rambled enough let me introduce you to Aion if you havnt seen it already.

the game is being brought to the market by NC Soft the creators of guild wars which in itself is a great game but starting fresh is always good. i have high hopes for this game because it is from NC Soft. my only worry is that it will fall into the same traps most other mmorpg's do now days but i wont know until it is released.

if the game does take off i plan to dl or buy it whichever it is i dont know that yet either. i highly doubt it will have monthly payments as guildwars NC Softs leading game doesn't have monthly payments. maybe if its really good some of you guys here on the site will join us ;)

I like the ones that have a more anime-ish feel to them. That and Guild Wars was not that good in my opinion. I got bored of it quickly. I guess I shall stick to the kind of fun game seal online. It can be better, but oh well.

well i did some more reading up on aion tonight and apparently the quest system is supposed to be very good which was the main thing i was worried about. i watched some gameplay videos and became a lot more excited. i think im actually ready to buy and try at this point....if it would just release already >.>

p.s. i play a game called flyff which is animeish. i was wonderin if you played it. if so perhaps i could join you on there in the mean time. just a thought...

1) I can imagine Aion being kind of fun, but with GW 2 coming out, I do not see another reason to get a game created by them. As such I would just wait for GW 2 to come out and just try to max out titles on GW.
2) FLYFF is kind of boring so I do not play it.

I think it looks pretty fun. I dont do MMOs really except for Minions of Mirth(i boycott WoW and other than that MoM(rofl) is all there is for mac for mmos......), but it seems fun. Nice psot on it by the way. Let me know how it is once you start.

I wish to point out that I had little say in the game. Okay, I just told him to go find one and I will give it a whirl. I still plan on playing here. Now that we have three new people who know each other in RL, I hope this site will take off a little.

As for Aion, I am reserving judgment for when I see it. I will have to borrow it from you drieton before I even consider buying it for I am strapped for extra cash. perhaps a b-day present or x-mas present from someone then....
