Another new systemWell itsw going to happen whether you like it or not, but i just want to get opinions to see if you guys think LE is starting to get too complicated or if these deeper levels o intricacy are making it all the more exciting. Anyways there probably wont be any more updates until this new system comes out, and if will hopefully premiere this weekend or a bit sooner. I wont explain anything to you about it just give you a one word hint as to what it centers around. Feel free to guess amongst yourselves.

I think things are going good. So long as things have a point and there are options, complexity is okay. Also, be sure to think along a set of stairs or ramp. As you work your way up, more things become available. What I mean is that there something for everyone at all post counts.

Do not worry, most things he implements can be for both noobs and veterans alike (as well as everyone imbetween). This new update will be very exciting. It will fit one of his old descriptions of the new site well enough. That is all I can really say though.

not asking for any hints at all. already know what Schmall is going do. just need the gc to pull it off now...

My guess is that the weapons will now be aligned with evil being gauged by Malice and good being gauged by something else. I believe it shall work as a sort of back and forth balance.
As for complication, this is nothing. As long as you work it up in steps and always have a resource to refer to(how to's) then there should be no problem.

Well without giving anything away i will say this.
The how to will have a very clear section decribing the new system and exactly how it works and all enw terms will be added to to glossary.
As far a noob friendly systems, ive been moving towards that.
So far we have a
Post Count System: Where user get items by posting in mass
GC system: Which is a bit harder to climb rapidly but possible
Belt System: Which is dependent on psot quality.
Thus we have systems that depend on post number, post quality, and randomness. I brought up the belt system as a way of regulating power so that someone with a smaller amount of GC can still become jsut as strong as someone else.
However this new system which will incorporate armor, weapons, pets, and items, depends neither on post count time here or post quality. Thus someone new to the site can master it more greatly than someone who is in the thousands(theoretically).
Anticipate it, i believe it will be favorable.

I can not wait. It will be fun to see where I stand. I believe this new system will be easy for all to understand. It also makes it seem like you are forced to decide if you want to be a hero or villain.

I wish to be neither. I am enjoying being the middle guy. the one that stirs the pot up. Been doing a good job so far without over doing it.....

It is boring being neutral, and it also means that you will not be able to use some special items right? So why do that. I think it would also be fun to have factions fight eachother every once in a while.

Hrmm the system does appear to be rather fun, especially with the role plays which can get rather difficult. However, if there is one suggestion I have for the new system is a slightly new way of judging hp in an arena battle. In the current system, ones hp is decided by how much posts one has when the fight begins, but I feel as though it would be better to have it be when one accepts the challenge to fight. This way post quality remains the same and does not drop because people want to boost their hp before a fight.

not totally neutral, just very chaotic to the point no one really knows what side he is on. He will have a sense of fairness. Not quite by the law justice and fairness, but more morale base. Schmall believe nature has sit the laws and humans simly impose unnecessary laws on themselves in order to dominate, shape, and conquer over others, animals, and land. Nature will conquer all in the end as far as Schmall is concerned. So he looks out for himself first really. So Schmall will never go for the guard for that reason. I would love to judge, but Schmall will not want the title or any part of the guard. hard to explain fully, just letting my fingers type without fully thinking it through. sometimes the best explantion comes out this way.
Besides, it works out being the tavernkeep. I wont be bais to my patrons and will equally abuse my patrons when they get rowdy.
Also, if Schmall is the only one in the middle, it gives him power in a different sense. He does not have any restrictions or others to telling him what to do. If one side becomes to poweful, he may lend a hand to balance things out. He will also be perfect for selling information about the other side. The tavernkeep always knows more than what is good for him, but all respect and like him, so none kill him so long as he doesnt step over any lines.

I think I would be perfectly fine with this. In fact I may punish people who do not accept a challenge at first, but after gaining more post then the other user accepting it. Either that or I allow it and just give them a malice for such dishonor (I am big into honor if you have not noticed).

Oh I have noticed. Schmall has his own set of conduct. He will strike a hard bargain when he can (like the tusks), but will seek fairness when it comes to things in adventures (the RP with archaic and bean recently). I can see Schmall and your character clashing at some point in time, but he also knows you out rank and more poweful than him. So he will side step you and try to avoid such a conflict. Power drived from anything outside of brute strength he has respect. He despises brute strength and will do challange it (little guy syndrome). I have actually been taking mental notes and careful to not stray from his character. I actually ask myself "what would Schmall do?"

Hmm... an evil guard... not evil as more of chaotic or something... maybe radical (not in the bad way). Sounds like the new system is going to make this place like the actual world. Sounds great, and can't wait.

Guards can be evil, they just can not try to attack Billgar. Also about that, Guard is good to be, but it is not too different from everyone else at all. I just think of myself as a regular member and you should too.

Indeed. Anyways yes, koku has given away many things in this thread. can you find them all?

I know I'm like everyone, but I like how I can judge. I was thinking of starting an RP, but still have to run it through my head, fill in gaps, etc. I'll let you guys know when its finished.
