I believe we are just going to find the lizards hang out and remove it. Noting too hard. please beanbaker, tell me all you learned about this town and its people from your last attempt."

"Well, it seems the main body of the attacking lizards go for the leader, or whichever is the strongest alive. They can eventually chew through metal, and the leave bad bleeding cuts. Also, they're small size makes them hard to cut. About fifteen killed me and Schmall. Koorlic was eaten to the point of a hollowed shell before he could wake. It was guard training all over again. As for the people, they have only the thoughts of their lost crops and homes, and try to drown their sorrows."

Gerald jumps out of the carriage, and billgar follows. The driver doesnt notice, and thus doesnt stop.

"I do not blame him for leaving, it is like him, oh well." As I say that I look to beanbaker again, do you know anything about the town or its people. Surely you talked to people while there.)

Beanbaker

"There he goes with his... eccentricities... him and Geraldo or whatever he's called make a pair." I peer out the carriage window. "Hey, driver! Stop here for a moment and rest! As for the town Koku, I didn't get much farther than the trading post, which I was thrown out of. Schmall was able to talk to one of the farmers, and he said nothing more than how he lost everything. The way that place was packed, I might be safe to assume half the town might be gone. Maybe more now..."

Wait, the farmer lost everything? Why was that and why did you not investigate that? It seems like something you should have looked into. Driver," I say, "Please move quickly we haven't much time."
With that the driver moves quicker to our destination.

Beanbaker

"Hey, we were ambushed by lizards!!! They jumped out of Koorlic!!! We really didn't have the time, and even if we did beat back the lizards, we might have been too badly beaten to continue. It seemed pretty hopeless. By the way aren't we forgetting someone?" I look out the window again to look for the emperor.

"Driver we are heading to Kishingston right? If not please go that way. As for you beanbaker," I turn to him, "stop being a coward and get ready. We need to take care of this before the court gets attacked." With that I shut up and wait to reach the destination.

"Who said anything of cowardice? I fought to the death, and I want revenge, too, but not with a burning passion." I look out the window again. "Well, if it isn't dictatorship at its best. I suppose he'll catch up sooner or later."

*looking through the curtains at the driver you see that noone is seated there, the Lacrimabilis is simply pulling the carriage on its own. Beanbaker peering back again sees the emperor with Gerald under his arm waving to them*

"Uh, Koku, we have a problem. The Lacrimabilis has no one steering it."

By the time we reach the destination it is too dark to advance. "We have no choice but to wait. There is nothing we can do. For now we must wait. I just hope the emperor does not do anything to dangerous..." With that I put up my hood and go to sleep until the morning when the villagers would be more help.
