Critiques as usual! So what does everyone think of the new armor and the new system of organizing it? Next week shall be some more summons and equipment.
Also for the GC this week you get to do a miniquest!
Some Mini-Quests
This time believe it or not the GC is awarded via the completion of a mini-quest! There are two options, so please choose ONLY ONE! (If you write one for both i will only read the first) then write a response that is complete.
The amount of GC you gain will depend on various factors and how well you do you "job."
1. Commissioned for a rather odd quest you are told to prepare a meal for His Eminence. The Imperial Kitchen has a large stock of meats and fish from all over the kingdom. Describe what you prepare and how you do so.
2. Being bought out by Issem, you are stuck watching after the Lacrimabilis ranch whilst the old man goes on vacation. Describe your day in detail.

The new armor is so awesome. I really like them, and I will probably be getting myself one of those imperial guard uniforms. It just looks so great. The sheath like object looks really cool. The vest is my second favorite there, it almost looks like an overcoat, which makes it even cooler.
Mission 1 will be my choice
Making my way into the kitchen I notice it is in good shape. Making my way around I look at all the utensils and food. I remember that the emperor hates cheese, likes meat and fish, and likes sweet stuff too.
Knowing all this I make my way to the oven to turn on the top to boil some lacrimabilis broth. Decreasing the temperature to simmer the water, I start to cut vegetables he has at quick speed thanks to my maido training. I then add the different vegetables that he has to the broth. Some that add a touch of spice, others that will add some texture, and others that will give it a little extra taste. I cut up bits and pieces of prime, tender meat from lacrimabilis and move on to my next courses.
I get violet crawler and put it on a pole. I then get two dead lump birds and put them on the same stick. Putting some seasoning onto the lump birds. I then quickly move to a open area in the kitchen where I make a device to hang up the pole as well as a place to make a fire. Doing so I hang the three things up, slightly slanted to let the fish flavor run off into the lump birds, mixing the juices to make a fine treat.
After doing so I go back and stir the soup that is being created. I then get noodle and start to boil it in a separate pan. While this is going, I then get some sweetened bean and surround it in a a dough, and then fry it. While this is going on I go back to the birds and fish on a pole, and removed the cooked fish from the pole. I get a new pole and raise it as a way to keep it hot but not enough to let it keep cooking anymore. I then allow the bird to continue to cook.
Going back I mix the stew again as to let it not burn. I do the same with the noodles that are starting to cook. By the time all this is done, the dessert is ready to be served. Putting it on a small plate I let the others start to cook again. Getting some rice I prepare it in a rice cooker. I then get more red bean and a bit of sugar. I wait for the noodles to finish cooking as much as they are so that I can put all the noodles into the soup, without needing to empty the boil water (a good skill for maido to know as it saves time). Using the boiling water I put the beans into the water and then add the sugar to sweeten them further. I allow it to become a type of paste that will go good with the rice and the snack.
I turn off the now ramen like soup, and put it some into a large bowl. I then get the fish and lump birds off the fire and put them on a plate. I get some rice and put it between the cooked meat. Getting some of the bean paste, I pour some onto the rice, and let some others go onto the empty part to the dish. I put all the plates and bowls onto a tray and quickly bring them down to the table where Billgar is sitting waiting for the food. "You shall not be disappointed, this will be a truly good feast." As I say that I wait to see his response, hoping it is as good as I thought it would be. Remembering the fire though, I run back up and put it out. Cleaning everythign, I make it look like I was never there before going back down.

First with the critiques. Some of the armor is absolutely awesome looking (read, all of the new stuff) however I do have mixed feelings about the armor in general. After taking a look at the new armor I can see that they are fairly priced and have some decent abilities, but some of the powers are already growing rather obsolete. I am referring to Warrior's Fur's ability of +10 damage to attacks. While I realize that this is basically free power as you are paying for the defense more than anything, it truly only serves to counter some points taken off by your opponents defense. However, I realize there is not much you can do about it so for now I shall take what I can get with glee. Also, this is not a critique of a new armor, but rather an older armor. The shrine maiden attire may just be too powerful right now as it cancels out opponent's specials, and thus makes things like defender and target useless. However, it may seem like a lot, but its only 2 complaints I have.
On to the compliments; WOW! This new armor set looks fantastic and makes me want to buy like every piece of it (including the special!) They not only trump the designs of the other armor, but the defense they provide is also much improved and clearly demonstrates just how the world of Nocte is expanding. I also love the new system as it does allow for some more elaborate requirements for armor (demonstrated by Iron Skeleton) and at the same time provides an easy way to find solutions to the requirements. Over all I give the update a 9/10, great great job and I look forward to the next one. I know I wrote more for complaints, but that was only to fully address the minute problems that exist... problems that I most likely would not have found if not for the new system.
MISSION TIME! Mission 2: Lacrimabilis' Happy Days
*Archaic mumbled as he walked to the destination of his latest mission, a mission that would bring him thrice to the farm of old man Issem. However, unlike the other two times, Archaic was not here to have fun at the expense of poachers, but rather to watch the creatures as the old man went on vacation. Thus Archaic made it to the farm and knocked on the cabin door, but to find no answer. Not being a man of peace Archaic forced his way into the house and saw a note on the table that provided Archaic with guidelines to follow when Issem was away. Archaic looked them over and nearly fainted due to the over complicated instructions.
The gist of the list was that Archaic was to feed the lacrimabili vegetation twice a day, make sure they don't get attacked by poachers and lastly to not let them get away. The first one was easy as there was a food bin and a couple of food troughs where the old farmer stored and served the vegetation. The second one also was not a problem as due to the simple fact that if any poachers came Archaic would simply slaughter them with great prejudice. As for the last one.... Archaic was not only quick but always had rope on him so they would not get away.
The first day of the farming was already nearly done and the lacrimabili were already fed once and thus Archaic only had to make sure that they would not escape or be attacked by poachers. Thus Archaic climbed on the roof of the shed and looked around to see that not only were the lacrimabili extremely calm at the moment, but they were also so dull that Archaic fell asleep on the job. A couple hours later Archaic awoke and found that all of the lacrimabili were on the farm, just moved towards the feeding troughs. Archaic took this as a hint and fed them for a second time before running around the parameter of the farm and finding the fence was in perfect shape, he even noticed that his cheap fixing was still holding up. With all this, Archaic went back on the roof, and with the gladius in his hand, he went to sleep.
Morning came quick with its radiant fingers poking at Archaic to get up. Lumpbirds could be heard in the distance as Archaic put more food in the troughs and checked the fence. All was good on this front and so he proceeded to do something extra; he actually combed and massaged all of the lacrimabili as to give them more comfort. This however, took up all day and so by the time he was done, already he had to feed them again. Placing the feed in the trough he made his way to the repaired section of the fence and slept from a nearby tree.
Morning came again with its radiant fingers poking at Archaic to wake up, and again he went through the same morning grind pondering just how Issem dealt with the utter boredom. That was of course, until he saw the smoke coming from the forest and new what was there. Taking his gladius he dashed through the lacrimabilis herd and jumped over the fence. He knew that the lacrimabili were calm creatures so they would not follow him. Making his way through the forest he found the same opening of the forest where the poachers were before and once again saw a new batch camping there. Giving a sigh Archaic ran towards them.
An hour later Archaic came back to the lacrimabili covered in blood and some injuries and hugged the nearest lacrimabilis to the gate. Smiling he laughed as he rested on the roof till it was time to feed them again. Proceeding to do this, Archaic pet each creature again before jumping on the roof and allowing the sandman to pay him one last visit at the farm.
On the fourth day Archaic awoke to a new feeling; a presence was approaching. Jolting up with his gladius in attacking position, Archaic rolled from the roof to find that Issem had returned early. Putting the weapon away Archaic gave him a nod and a smile and went and fed the the lacrimabili one last time. Walking back over to Issem, Archaic shook his hand, told him what had happened and returned to the capital where he hoped to find some excitement.*

Its fine to give good criticism. Also the warrior's fur does just give the damage as an add on as the defense is priced fairly based off the other armors as well. Also YES YES YES the shine maiden armor IS the BEST armor in my opinion on the site! Its is hugely devastating, and now with cloaks and special armors you can really be DEVASTATING with it! The armor was planned to be insane from the start and thats why it has the price it does, to basically just gain one ability!

I also fully enjoy the update. We can go for some nice amount of extra damage or go for the raw defense. Of course there is still some nice specials still. The skelton armor thingy will make a deadly combo with just about any fabric. Too bad I cant afford the Silks and the extra damage from the skeleton armor. lol. I'd rather go for the maiden attire to cancel out another person's special.
I dont have the time for a good post for the mini quest. I will do so at a later date. So please dont shut it down.

Entering the imperial kitchen, Billgar sits down to the meal prepared by the guard captain. Looking at the bountiful spread in front of him he is quite excited. Seeing not only some delicious looking soup, but also fish and some poultry, he sits and begins to eat. The soup is quite delicious and the vegetable inside make it all the better. the fish is refreshing as it has been a while since he has eaten any. Barely touching the lumpbird, he finishes the soup and crawler quickly and then moves onto the rice with red bean. Satisfied he leaves the table, rubbing his stomach.
