How does it make your work harder... only the WC changes values so unless Billgar uses it more often, it only effects like 2 people here.

What if there was a small stock market and currency exchange here, and the stocks themselves would be based off of real ones that have similar companies in like NASDAQ or NYSE. It might be a little complex, so it would start small first.

Right... getting back on topic the stock thing would get way too annoying to calculate. I do not want to need to check it every few hours or even every day. The idea is not bad, but there would need to be an easy way to implement it.

well you could just do the calculations as a daily value instead of currrent, up-to-date values. It would be very easy to write out once a day, and if the caretaker leaves, then the market is closed for the day.

But that would mean paying attention to something relevant to life.... whereas Nocte is meant to be an escape from the pains of life. I say nay to the evilness of real stocks!

Well, how would we determine stocks' rise and fall? I would suggest some way involved with random numbers, but it would make it more of a lottery than a stock market.

If anything it could be based off materials here such as iron, gold, orcht berries, whatever. The stocks can fluctuate, but it will be very annoying.

By stockmarket I was just talking about currency raising and falling in value and being able to profit from it. The way it would raise and fall is simp[ly based upon the activity that LE is seeing. Its a rather simple way.

I know, I was talking about another idea. Also, by using real stock values that the company is based off of that is similar to a company in Nocte (like for example, Colt industries, which makes guns [weapons], can be used to make stocks for the forge, and DuPont for stocks in orbs).

no no real stocks at all. If anything it would be fake stocks from here. It is MUCH easier to do over a long period of time, but it is still a lot of work.

that is an interesting an unpredictable way of approaching it, but i feel as though it would become too much.

That is why it would start small first. There would be currency exchange at first, then if things stay smooth, then a stock system could be worked out. I could see things would get out of hand if there were a ton of stock opportunities, and I'm open for other ways. Although I would have to argue that using random numbers such as dice would make things too chaotic and random, and make it more of a gamble.

I feel that it will become a hassle. The stock idea will need to be constantly updated and that is more work away from other cool RPs and item creation instead. If we are gonna persue this idea though, I reccommend a casinoe then. A place to gamble.

That would not be all too bad of an idea, just as long as it is limited to about one play per day or something as to make it easier on the Admins who would have to keep track of the fluctuating money.

That might be more than a doable idea, we could have a bunch of different games and whatnot and maybe i could set up some type of system where you wont need an admin or mod? Not so sure, but we shall see. Anyways maybe itll just be mod run but with the forwarning that it might take a while for a response. I would like to give priority right now to the belt system which i may work on this sunday, and more summons first. I know we need armor as well but id rather get a larger base of summons out, unless of course that is i hear a demand for armor over beasts.
