Originally we started as a tribute to another forum that died know as stupidquestions.org(see http://lowestexistance.myfreeforum.org/about1369.html for more info on that). Anyways, It is Lowestexistance as here one was supposed to take their STANCE on what was LOW in intellectual value. (like a question about which came first a chicken or an egg, there is no reason for someone to ask, its stupid, but we can ask here).

Anyways, pretty much stance being squeezed in there. and then the lowest......thats another story.....

I noticed since the beginning, mainly because I think I was told about it. It has become second nature to me, so I do not even think of it as a misspelling but a different word all together.

I actually spell it "existance" anyways, and if it wasn't for the spell checker on Firefox, I would still continue to do it.

I've known it was spelt wrong for a while having typed it in the 'right' way trying to get to the forum a few times... never thought to ask about it though. It's nice to finally understand why it's like that.

Yeah that is true. I think I use to spell existence as stance. It worked, oh well. What big difference would there be if the site was called existence anyways.
