FreeCellThis is the card game like solitaire but confusing if you do not know how to play. You basically start with 8 piles of cards, the first four with 7 cards, the other 4 only 6. You try get the cards up into 4 separate cells separated by the type, and then in order from ace to king (just like solitaire). You also have a separate 4 cells that you could place one card in, just in case you need to get to a card below it. You may move sets of cards like in solitaire, but unlike in solitaire you must have the number of cards you want to move + 1 cells open. It sounds confusing, and until you learn it it is. However afterward it is a lot of fun. I play it occasionally.

This is the only solitare card game I play. Occasionally spider solitare, but freecell is the best. I actually play it off the computer and with actual cards on my desk here at work when I dont have a book and you guys are not active. I rarely lose. very rarely.
(Shouldnt this thread be under media and gaming?)

1) I suppose but when I think of gaming I think of video games, still you are right.
2) I play it with both too. At times it is very difficult, but it is just so much fun that I can not help but play it. It is good to burn 5 minutes or so. I got pretty good at it, but there are some times when it is very difficult and making a single move takes me almost 5 minutes.

Its not uncommon for me to sit there and look at the cards for a good 5 minutes. when I do move the cards, I will take 3 to 5 moves for I plan ahead big time for that is how you beat freecell.

Sometimes I find it better to go off a whim. When I think to much I usually end up missing the simple but effective moves. It happens in many things, this included. On a different note on free cell, it is a lot more fun then solitaire too. I seems to be more of skill then luck like solitaire is.
