Koku

The mighty Susicivus roams freely in trees. These creatures try not to bother anyone else on their voyage for sap. Scouring areas such as swamps they make their way from tree to tree checking for the food. When threatened, it appears that they are more likely to run away then to fight. This particular one seems to have found a source of sap in a large tree. The water is about 1 meters deep, but seeing as it is about 6 meters itself the water is of now concern. Being very clsoe to it, it does not seem to care. I must not serve it as a threat for it goes on like I am not even around (kind of insulting I must say). Finally it finishes off the sap from that tree and moves on to its next source, unfortunately though the water is getting a tad to deep for me to follow it so I must end the observation here.

Schmall
|
After slipping over the walls in the wee hours of the night and avoiding the poor excuse of patrols of the invaders, Schmall lazily wanders out on the grasslands that borders the Forst of Souls. Sparky is sleeping on his should, quietly making noises as he is chased by a flying Soru bettle twice the size of him.
After sometime, Schmall spots a herd of Lacrimabilis grazing near the forest. He plunks down in the tall grass and uses Solomon to flatten it out so that he may have a good view. Once the view is established, Schmall pulls out some paper pinned to a plank of wood and some charcoal sticks so that he may draw what he sees.
After a couple of hours, Solomon begins to tremble on its own accord. Schmall looks in confusion at the weapon and looks up just in time to see a blue blur streak from the forest, snap up a whole Lacrimabilis in its jaws, and disappear back into the Forest. Schmall jumps to his feet, startling Sparky awake, holding Solomon before him despite the fact the now stampeding Lacrimabilis herd is a good mile in the distants. Deciding it is a good idea to return back to the capitol, Schmall turns and begins his long trot back.
(psst, I like this one. It was fun to type for the 140gc)

*Archaic walks in with a TV and a DVD player and pops in a DVD labeled "unfinished study of the Ko." Pressing Pay he sits silently and watches it. The video opens up with the image of a swamp and a blue Ko floating in the middle of it*
"Deep in the swamp to the north there floats a beast of medium proportions. However, this creature the Ko are a threat not to be messed with. Standing at 3.5 feet, this specific specimen is of middle ground when it comes to stature, but it is not to be messed with. Watching as it floats along, the observer is stricken with shock to watch as it hunts down its prey just to deliver it a mighty shock before devouring it. As such an aggressive beast, it is of no surprise to see why it roams to carelessly, much like a shark of the swamp. However, like sharks there is a rumor of a giant Ko that is even mightier than a pack of normal Kos. Although few have seen it, even fewer have lived to tell the tale. It is said that its stingers deliver a voltage so strong that the normal person would die five times over instantly."
*The image suddenly turns darker and a loud ZAP! is heard followed by distortion of the video that eventually leads to a total blackout and the video is over.*
*Archaic turns off the video and returns the supplies to wherever he found it. He looks at Billgar and starts to speak.*
"Does this count? I mean its not necessarily mine, but I found it in that house and never told anybody."

(title) Investigation of POISON GNAR
September something, twilight.
Low temperature, high humidity, expected full moon.
North of Kishinston, west of Northland Expedition trails and demolished mansion.
Upon investigation for possible breeding and selling of the gnars, and to find what the makeup of their poison is, I have found a small enclosure of shrubs and other low plant life, amongst the large trees and swampland. There I have found two poison gnars, genders unknown. One however is much smaller than the other, but does not seem attached as if offspring to the larger one. The larger one has a scar on its side. Upon watching their behaviors, they seem to have different personalities, for the smaller one is more docile, but they both are viscous when it comes to hunting. They seem to be a type of creature that requires much nourishment. They seem to be gathering... piles of carcasses. I can clearly see many tonsor feathers, perhaps they scored a big kill streak. Although the more dominant one keeps stealing from the other's pile of food, and seems too weak to defend its food, and is withering away from it. They must require a parge percentage of food to their body weight.
The large gnar eats its pile and goes to the other gnar's pile and eats it too. The smaller gnar just watches meekly, and once the large gnar leaves, the small one searches the blood soaked sandy soil and licks up whatever it can. I come out from behind the rock where I camped out, and walking slowly, I pulled out my rations of lump bird jerky and throw it in front of the gnar. It just looks at the food, then me, then the food. Its big beady eyes start eying the food, and I just walk back to the capitol.

HA! Nice they are all great, Koku approached it just like i would and schmalls was very differnt but good as well! Everyone gets the GC of course.....maybe i will write one too....
----------------------
Creeping out of the palace Billgar carefully avoided the eyes of the imperial guard. Having his eminence leave the court unattended was ludicrous. Sneaking out into the garden in the middle of the night the eccentrically clad ruler made his was to the shrubbery on the border of the gardens. Looking through the leaves something eventually caught his eye. Up a little ways and resting on a root sticking up from the ground was a sorflin. Wings extended and mouth pointing up like always it was away from the group it seemed. Not moving for a while Billgar assumed it to be sleeping or waiting for some unsuspecting insect to mistake it for a flower growing out of the bark.
After observing for near half an hour, a small fly of some sort began to buzz by the emperor's ear. swatting at it a bit it soon left and went on in the direction of the sorflin. Landing on the sorflin, the insect rested for a while then departed on its way once more, unharmed. Billgar, curious and now sure that the sorflin was sleeping approached cautiously and poked it. A smile lit up upon the emperors face as he realized that it WAS actually just a red flower.

Schmall

It just felt like something Schmall would do. Besides, there was no other way to tie a Jodoshi into the short story. Schmall doesnt know what it is yet so I called it a blue blur (it was really fast) and obviously had huge jaws. I had fun typing it out.

Humming a catchy tune i heard at the tavern and trotting along i hear a crunch. I stop...look around and realize that i am all alone and could be the only one to have made the noise. With trees all around me I begin to wonder if i really am alone. Maybe some wild summon is lurking by ready to pounce even though I feel no presence of one.
I begin to walk again and after a few more steps *CRUNCH* louder this time. I felt a small "object" under my foot so I investigate. As I lift my foot I realize that I have accidentally squashed 2 common Surus. Not only that there were many more scurrying around. The poor little Suru's did not realize that walking on the path could lead to their deaths.
Feeling sorry for the little buggers I helped 3 find their way off the path I was walking and told them to stay away from trampling beasts...the funny thing is they squirked as if to understand though i doubt they did.
At that I took my leave of the Suru hangout and made my way back to town. I was beginning to feel hungry.
