InfestationAs the three warriors gather at the tavern, they make their way to the small village of Kishinston. A couple of the lizard can be seen relaxing on building and stones. They do not know where the lizards main nest is and as such most start by looking around for people with advice.

"Before we go anywhere, this is what these lizards look like." I pull the perching one off my shoulder and show it to Koorlic and Schmall. "This one is tame, and will not harm anything unless I order it, but nevertheless has the face of our enemy. It is this we will be hunting, and from what I hear, there are many of them."
As my fellow compatriots study my pet, I go to the trading post located on the outskirts of town. I open the door, and I find...

Inside you find a group of people. Each person looks at you for a second then go back to what they were talking about. Some people sitting at a table wee being particularly boisterous.
"Those D@&% Lizards! They have been ruining me two months now! Today I killed one in the morn' and jus' 2 hours later and there were four more in its d@#% place!" The man, wearing a worn farmer's outfit.
"Well what do you expect, they are animals and need food! It is your fault. Why don't you just move to a place where they can't get to you huh!" After the obnoxious person in clean, dark brown attire, stopped talking he went and tried to talk to someone else who was just not interested.

In a high volume voice, I ask, "Where is the highest concentration of the lizards?" By this, I would be able to strike at the heart of the animal colony. "I am here along with two others, sent to deter these pests."

A large outburst broke out amongst the citizens. It was impossible to distinguish one answer out of this outbreak. A person comes over to beanbaker and shows him the door. After quieting everyone down (to a point), it was pretty much business as usual. With beanbaker now kicked out, it is up to Koorlic or schmall to try to ask questions in the trading post.

"What the h*** was that about? Ah well, you guys try. i get the feeling these country bumpkins don't appreciate the help."

While Beanbaker waits outside brooding, he is approached by a cloaked figure. Though the face is not visible and the voice is near indistinguishable Beanaker barely manages to distinguish the broad-shouldered man's word.
"Take this..." He rasps out, as a hand appears from under his garbs. In its grasp is a small brown bag. Beanbaker takes the bag and peers inside to discover that it is full of small orange brown pellets. Looking back up the figure had already vanished.

"Lizard snacks? Well, if its called snacks, then they taste good." I hand one pellet to the lizard perched on my shoulder. "Well, I suppose I could lure some of these things out, but that might be a waste." I secure the pouch under my armor, and walk over to Schmall and Koorlic, who were lounging under a tree. "Hey! Get off your lazy *** and go ask those people in the trading post for information." With that I survey the area, looking for any sign of the cloaked man.

Schmall jumps up with a grin and says, "Sorry matey. Just grabbing a bit of shut eye. Lets see if I am able to get any info out of the locals. hold on to my sword for a bit will ya." Schmall hands his katana over to beanmaker sheathed. He then rubs some dirt into his clothes, some on his face, and then walks slowly over to the tavern.
He enters without making any eye contact with anyone. He just walks over to the bar looking at his feet as if he has been defeated in some terrible battle. He knows that he will stick out and all locals will know him as a stranger seeing as his lean 4' 7" stature sticks out like a sore thumb and someone will approach him at some point. So he just sulks up to the bar and orders a drink, placing a coin on the bar as he orders.

Everyone continues on with their conversations as schmall sits down. Everyone is slightly worried about the lizard problem. The obnoxiously dressed man is still trying to chat with random people about random topics, while the farmer is still distraught and drinking his problems away.

Schmall orders another drink, grabs both of them, and sits over with the farmer who is drowning his issues.
"Here mate," he says as he places a fresh mug of ale in front of the farmer. Schmall just sits there, slightly hunched over his drink, not making eye contact at all. All body language is set to show a deep sadness which is not hard for Schmall to do. He only needs to think about his family's screams. Screaming as they burned alive, trapped in the house as it burns down around them. He takes another sip, patiently waiting for the farmer to start a conversation.

"I aint takin' your sympathy." The farmer pays schmall for the drink. "It is those D@#$ lizards eat'n my crops. All the farmers have been havin' trouble wit' them. Sometin' needs to be done about them.! If they continue we won't have any crops for harvest!"

Schmall takes the money without blinking an eye. He then says (bluffs), "I hear what you mean. Them curse ridden lizard scum ate my crops too. They also found my seed and ate that. I am now broke, no crops, and never had a family. the coin for these drinks are from what I found on the way here on the road."
Slamming his fist down with a suddenly down on the tabletop, "The Imperial army should do something about this! But no, they have no time for poor farmers like us that put food on their tables!!"
Schmall thinks to himself, if that doesnt rile up someone to speak/yell about the lizards, nothing will. Just gotta get them angry enough towards the lizards to loosen their jaws. they must know where they wish to have someone descend down upon the lizards. Not just their individual farms cuz we cant help there, but the actual source...

Everyone is drinking away their problems. The farmer is still worked up about his situation and the obnoxious man is too drunk to say much of anything.

|
At the door window, I signal Schmall to get out of there. We were obviously getting nowhere. "We might as well just look for the nest ourselves. Get out here Schmall, and wake up Koorlic. We'll leave you here if you don't." I walk off into the brush nearby, to find a feral lizard. "Maybe these treats will get him to help us find the nest, or better yet, help us fight for the time being."

Upon noticing his leader's signal, Schmall downs his drink, hands the mug to a bar maid, and heads out. He retrieves his sword from Beanbaker.
With a grin of pure mischief, Schmall takes off towards Koorlic sleeping figure. He swoops down to pick up a hand full of mud on his way, careful to get no stones. Taking careful aim while running, Schmall beams the mud right at Koorlic's face. As soon as the mud hits its mark, Schmall stops and just glares at Koorlic, waiting for his unjust wrath.

As they look at Koorlic something seems to be happening. Blood is coming from his nose, mouth, eyes, and ears. Soon a ripping sound is heard. Out from his leg comes two lizard. Soon more ripping sounds can be heard as the body seemingly bursts. At from Koorlics body comes a total of 15 lizard pop out of him, angry and still hungry. They look toward beanbaker and schmall as food.
Koorlic is dead.

Schmall quick steps to place himself back to back with Beanbaker in order to prevent being surrounded and having them nasty little buggers start chowing on their ankles. (Schmall's knees!) "Quick mate, form up and lets give them blood and vinegar!!"
With that, Schmall starts slicing and slashing at any lizard that gets within range, careful not to hit the ground to prevent damaging or blunting his blade.

As schmall swing his sword wildly, most of the perching lizards moved out of the way. However, on of his many quick strikes was able to land on one lizard, splitting it in two down the middle. This angered the rest of the lizards. They look at the group and start to hiss.
Schmall does 37 damage to one perching lizard

I look at lizards 6 and 7, and I look at my perching lizard, which is red-eyed with blood lust. I attack seven, with a downward vertical slash to cut the beast in half. I toss my perching lizard at six to attack.

Beanbaker cuts the lizard straight down the middle killing it where it fell. Beanbaker's lizard goes over and gets in quick snaps at perching lizard #6. It gets a few nips but nothing lethal.
Beanbaker does 48 and kills perching lizard #7, Beanbaker's perching lizard does 8 damage to perching lizard #6.
The lizards go in a frenzy. Lizards #s 2 and 3 go after beanbaker's perching lizard. They bit at its back and one of its sides. Beanbaker's lizard takes 19 damage.
Lizards 4,5,6,and 8 go after schmall angered at his wild swinging. They gather at him and cover him. They bite at him, but can not do much more than draw a little blood. Schmall is able to get them off of him rather quickly. Schmall takes 38 damage
The rest of the lizards decide to attack beanbaker. Lizard 9 and 10 jump onto beanbaker's face biting at his cheeks, right below his eye. The others then surround beanbaker at start to bite him. They can barely even break the skin while attacking.
Beanbaker takes 12 damage.

Seeing lizards 4,5,6, and 8 coming to me from Schmall, I launch forward to get any remaining lizards off me, and repeatedly cross-slice the ground to swipe at the closest lizards, 4 and 5, and then stomp on 8, then vertical slice the last one, 6.

|
Schmall, feeling the pain of his wounds, but determined to live through to the end, returns the savage attack. He takes a step, leaps up, slams both feet downward on lizard #9 in order to break its back while delivering a downward sweep (like a curved L) aimed right for #10 mouth, attempting to slice it in half horizontaly.

Schmall lands a big kicks on Lizard 9, hurting it badly, but not lethally. His sword comes down on lizard 10 kind of sloppily as Schmall was off balance. It cuts the lizard badly, causing it to bleed out. However, lizard 10 is also alive and got angry.
Schmall does 23 to lizard 9 and 24 to lizard 10
Beanbaker attempts to cut lizards 4 and 5 but only manages to cut of their tails. They squirm away angrily. When Beanbaker goes to stomp 8, he manages to crush their sides a little bit, but they are able to get up and scurry to a safer spot. Beanbaker then tries to slice 6, but because of the lack of balance and lack of energy left after the last attacks, he stumbles and only scratches the lizard.
beanbaker does 6 damage to 4,5,6,and 8
The lizard angered know it is time to get revenge.
Lizards 2 and 5 decide to finish off beanbaker's pet, surrounding it than bitting at its necks. The lizard falls down bleeding profusely as it gasps for air. It soon dies.
Lizards 2 and 5 do a total of 18 damage to beanbaker's pet, killing it.
Lizards 3,4,6,10, and 11 decide to go after schmall. Angered by the damage they took, 10 and 6 claw and bite angrily at schmalls neck puncturing it. The other lizards separate, attacking Schmall's back, stomach, and his face. Unable to take the pain, Schmall faints from the pain, while the lizards sstill attack him. Schmall dies from the wound and blood loss.
Lizards 3,4,6,10,and 11 do a total of 53 damage, Schmall dies.
The remaining lizards group at beanbaker and attack him relentlessly. The lizards bite down hard and hold on to the flesh of beanbaker for as long as they can. As they clamp down hard on Beanbaker, he is eventually able to get free. His skin is roughed up and cut, and his muscles are becoming softer from the torture.
Lizards 8,9,12,13,14,15 do a total of 12 damage.

"This is not happening." I look at the bloody corpses of Schmall and Koorlic. Then I pull out a small handful of lizard snacks. "I hope this works..." I throw the snacks over to the left and charge at lizard 8 and 13, sword ready to sweep the ground and cut their heads in half horizontally.

As beanbaker distracts the lizards with food he does not hesitate to get ready to chop two down. Beanbaker charges at the lizards 8 and 13 and swipes at them. Anticpating switching targets, when he goes to attack lizard 8, he stumbles a little bit, only managing to rip a big cut in its side. With the sword now moving towards lizard 13, the inertia was not too great, but enough to hit lizard 13 and send it flying backwards. Bloodied but not beaten it gets up and joins the group who now starts to atttack beanbaker.
beanbaker did 12 damage to lizard 8 and 13 damage to lizard 13.
The lizards surround beanbaker and start scratchign and bitting like mad. If not for the Aluminum Plating, the lizards would have surely done extensive damage. However, being suppressed by it, beanbaker manged to get away with less severe scrapes all over the place. The pain must be painful, but nothing that will be too serious.
The lizards do a total of 28 damage.

"Alright, maybe this time..." I place a small pile of food right in front of me, and will downward slice the first lizards to the pile of food, which I believe will be 9, 12, and 15.

Beanbaker goes and quickly slashes lizards 9, 12, and 15. When slashing 9, he landed a direct hit, splitting it in half over some food. Beanbaker then goes and cuts the other two in about the same locations, right across the back, inbetween the two heads. They both cry in pain then turn to attack. They swarm beanbaker and with large numbers start to s=eat away at the armor. Biting through they manage to grasp flesh and rip it off. repeatedly taking flesh off, they manage to rip good scratches in beanbaker.
Beanbaker takes 80 damage.

"Nasty little fellows, you're all becoming quite persistent..." I grind some of the food up, and using my blood to make a paste to spread along the blade of my weapon. I also throw a little food to the right, into a medium sized bush. When lizards jump for my sword, which I expect to be 3, 4, 10, ad 11, for they are eying my sword, and after to attack the rest of the lizards, who will be crowded in the bush, by hacking and slashing at the bush itself.

blindly swinging around his sword, he barely manages to scratch each lizard. Scratching off flakes on each lizard but not much more. He only managed to tick them all off. It seemed like while they were in the bushes, the bushes were able to take the blunt of the attacks.
All lizards took 4 points of damage.
The lizards once again start to eat away at the armor, as well as attack old openings. The lizards bite and scratch a lot, all the while beanbaker tried to get free. After a great struggle he gets them all off of him, but he is now bleeding. They all scatter in different directions around him.
beanbaker takes 103 points of damage.

"Random attacks are getting nowhere..." I target lizard 14, and launch foreward to upper-cut him straight in half. After, I quickly survey the area to count which ones are still alive [please post which ones]

Trying to cut it in half, this lizard is very speedy and avoids the main hit. However, it does lose a foot and its tail. It is bleeding, but still alive and angry.
Beanbaker does 19 damage.
The lizards gather around beanbaker again and try to make him regret ever fighting them. Biting as hard and fast as they can they manage to get into the old wounds. Now in pain, beanbaker starts to rip off the 24 heads as fast as he could. After he finally ripps of the final lizard, he notices 12 alive.
The lizards do 89 damage.

I again charge at another collection of lizards, numbers 2,3, and 4 to be exact, as I still wincing in pain. I sweep the ground with my blade, to cut them to pieces widthwise.

As beanbaker goes to cut the first his blade is already starting to go for the next one, and as such makes the first hit a lot less strong than it could be. The same can be said about the second swing, which just sends the poor creature up high in the air. By the final strike, beanbaker's stamina is depleted causing it to be very weak. While it does hit the perching lizard, it does not do much more then cut a scratch on the lizard.
beanbaker does 6 to Lizard 2, 6 to lizard 3, and 7 to lizard 4.
The perching lizard that was sent into the air comes down right onto beanbaker and serves as a distraction for the others. They once again get to work gnawing at beanbaker. When all is said and done, beanbaker has more bruises on his face and chest, and his arms are pretty torn up.
Beanbaker takes 76 damage.

"Ugh, just my luck. Its guard training all over again." I throw more lizard snacks to the left, and I charge again at lizard 2 for the kill, with a stab at the whole mass of flesh, but not enough to hit the ground, then to scurry back out of the fray.

Beanbaker swings a strong blow at lizard 2 with his greatsword. The lizard had no chance to escape from the hit and eventually dies. The remaining lizards gather together, and all of a sudden, they start to yell in a high pitch. Soon a swarm of lizards gather around the injured ones. Without hesitation they all jump onto beanbaker, making sure every part of him was covered. They attack wildly, bitting and scratching beanbaker with no mercy. Even though beanbaker tries to get them off it is just not possible. Within minutes beanbaker is bit up badly, with blood pouring from his wounds. The attacks do not relent. After five minutes the lizards leave beanbaker, or at least the bloodied and defeated body of him.
With that, this parties attempt is done and deemed unsuccessful.
