Lake Validushttp://www.lowestexistance.com
Recently, We the Emperor sent out a few individuals who possess great knowledge of fish to Lake Validus. We decided to start this research due to the establishment of a province in that area, but the findings were nonetheless astounding. Two new species of fish were discovered in the Lake that somehow manage to survive even with the serpent infestation.

Oh exciting, and yet... the validus serpent is looking rather weak these days as opposed to a few weeks ago when they were mighty and vicious creatures. Still great job drawing the fish.

That Skullfish is cool. Maybe now we can have some good summon fights in the water (not like we really had any...), but the new fish add to the dynamics of Validus. I was wondering, the old "Beast" quest, is that going to be moved into the Validus quests, or just removed altogether and just use the fishing as its replacement?

Man skull fish is great. I just wish you could throw it back instead of paying the 350 GC to keep it. I like my marine creature and would feel that I have enough marine life now.

Love the skull fish and its attack method. It can make fishing for it dangerous. Now if only Koku wont kill the next man to take people out fishing....

K well soem questions were brought up. I am going to let schmall decide if he wants to keep the beast quest or get rid of it. Also to Koku, you dont have to pay the 350 GC thats jsut how you summon it. If you catch it and dont want it just kill it or let it go....

Oh ok that works then. In that case it would be a fun thing to catch on accident when trying to catch the other fish. Also to you Schmall, I will kill people if I see them worthy of death as that guy was.

lol, Koku, I am personally not the least bit upset. lol. I found it funny and how the boy reacted to the situation is exactly what I did in RL. Schmall will have to find something to do for you if you keep killing random people (like killing people that needs killing).
as for the skull fish, I cant wait to see what happens when someone catches one. It may not like being caught...
as for that quest, I think it would be more interesting to have it locked and go with the fishing packages instead. There will be a package just for dealing serpents. Keep in mind, going on the lake there is always a risk of meeting the serpents...

Even if the fish don't like to be caught.. there's not much they can do about it if the savage fisherman just throws them onto the waterless ground. Still it is fun, but say one doesn't want to summon a fish nor pay the tax... can they sell it at the vault for a profit? Or would they still have to pay the tax, but at least have it go for a reasonable amount.

Well, having elemental casting as an attack makes the skull fish all that more fun. It doesnt need to bite you to hurt you. It just needs to lash out with its magic some how. Or even pull into the boat so that it can swim in the boat. I see a fun time trying to deal with one. Granted of course you wont kill it when you try to stop it attacking you. you will just need to find a way of subduing it....

Well once it is in the boat it is out of water, so I would say it would become useless. The little bit of water on the boat would not be able to support it. So once it is reeled in it is not a problem, but getting it in will be hard.

for a skull fish in order to take it any further than right when you catch it or a fight shortly afterwards, you will need to pay the tax.

Ah ok, than I would estimate the retail price for a skullfish will most likely be like 500 GC so the fisherman can make a profit. Still it is a nifty summon nonetheless.

If we ever do carry some sort of fish, is it okay to reference some sort of portable container filled with water to carry around an individual fish, but not as a way for the fish to attack on land (on land, it still wouldn't be able to attack)?

That is a good idea for the aquarium actually. Holding cells for your aquatic pets. They would technically be in the vaults still of course, but I can reference them in the aquarium so that they can live just fine. Be a RPing thing. The workers would even feed your pets too. just a thought....

As long as the fish doesnt attack anything outside of the container i am okay with it...

Along with that, no describing putting somethign into the container to make it do damage. That would not go well with me if I was judging. It is a lame way to try to get around this.

Yeah its not for any fighting at all, just a way to have your pet with you, much how sparky hangs around Schmall. Its pretty much just going to be a clear box that has enough room to turn around, and not much else. Holes on the top for slipping in treats.

Yeah i dont have any problem with that. Sounds good to me.
