I read your update.  I like how you typed it up.  Now I am gonna actually check out the orbs themselves...

Nice thanks for showing up i thought i would be all alone for my new update, it made me sad when i finally returned to the forum and refreshed t find myself alone.....
Schmall

I close the tab with LE when I go on breaks so that my managers cant go poking around on me.  I dont make things easy for my managers to get me in trouble.

Anyways, I like the new orbs.  I really do.  There are some more options now.

I only have one issue though.  Seeing as "Solomon desires to protect and aid the companions of its master," what would be its defender ranking?  I would personally expect no single, mere low level target orb to overcome it.  A strong one over coming Solomon I can understand.
Billgar

It has a defender of 2. two is good. It went legend before the update and only had normal defender so it is still improvement and when an orb with target 2 comes out it wont be too cheap so that user would have paid a fair price to overcome Solomon's power. As everyone advances into the future however Even Solomon which is a might weapon now, may begin to lose luster. Koku is already worried about his scythe even. Anyways, defender 2
Schmall

Thanks.  I am happy with that.  It wasnt so much as the orb that is was in Solomon before it came to be, rather the nature and purpose of the weapon that I figured would bump his defender power up a little.  I am happy.  Thanks
Archaic

Yeah these orbs are actually pretty cool, and I am a huge fan of the lucky orb. However, it does raise a question; do legondaries keep the orbs that were on their previous forms, or will a weapon with lucky potentially lose that trait when it becomes legendary. OR is it the other way around and the orbs double in potency?
Billgar

Its all relative, sometimes they lose abilities, sometimes they gain, sometimes an old ability powers up. It depends. If you only have one ability on the weapon it will probably go up in efficacy but if you have a bunch maybe two will disappear and the third just become very much stronger. Or they could all increase but the damage actually stays the same or goes down. Its all relative to how you use and treat your weapon and who your character is as well as your psot count.
Koku

They look very nice, good job. The lucky orb seems like a very good orb to get. As for the bubbly orb, it seems it allows when to become a divine swordsman quickly, which is not a bad thing.
Schmall

Like any game, it is easy to go towards evil (or negative malice in this case), so seeing the bubbly orb makes things a bit easier for those that do seek the divine swordsman path (like Beanbaker).

When I read the first orb, the obnoxious orb, I instantly thought "I want one!" before I even read what it did.
Archaic

This is only slightly true Schmall. The only reason why it seems to hard to be good in this place is because some people are just stingy when handing out the negative malice... right Koku? Still those orbs do not interest me as much. Not unless I wanted to be a shinigami. If that was the case, I would buy my way to the requirements haha
Schmall

I was only interested in the obnoxious orb for the sake of its name.  that was all.  Schmall has been very good at that when it comes RPing with you guys so I have noticed.
Koku

I may go poor soon enough with some of these orbs. The target system scares me a little bit though. It makes me terrified to use my wass in battle now. I think that the fact they mostly require souls (as the recommended price) means that there needs to be more fights now.
Archaic

Hrmm this is true... what a time for me to decide to take a slight break from battling. :| Darn you Billgar! You make it so I may no longer stay on break and want to fight a lot. Also as for your Wass, it is a bit unfortunate, but are there not ways to restore it if it died... albeit at the cost of 2 souls? It will make things a little easier to take, and as of now nobody has target so it is still a bit safe for now.

im actually quite generous with it in both cases. In one night i gave hieiotaku -15 Malice! Instead of killing he sought to heal and discuss and come to terms with others.

If you wish to be righteous yu must work hard to obtain it! Saying a line like "I wish you would join our side, but oh well"(random example) and then attacking a clearly sentient foe will not make you any more saint like.

The system itself may not be geared towards evil in general, rather many people have more fun committing the evil acts in games.  It is there only chance to slit a bullies throat instead of lecutring him what is right and wrong.  Its easier to save that one healing potion for yourself rather than give it to that dieing NPC peasent.  Its the people in general that play games with a good or evil alignments systems that tend to stray towards the evil path for they are easy to commit.
Archaic

Oh man Schmall's debating with himself, this is trippy. However, I will say that since most of us think of this as a battle system we do not even think about the pacifistic possibilities. In fact this is so true that it took a new-old member before any of us even received negative malice without having to pay for it. It can be said that if not for the items that give you negative malice, very few of us would obtain any. o_O
Koku

I also think the problem is that some people may think they were doing good when they really do neutral actions or even malice worthy actions. This is what happened to me. My character I thought was acting good for a little bit but it turns out he was pretty evil to humans and neutral to creatures.
Schmall

I think I have pretty much formed Schmall into what I want him to be.  From there I dont care if he gains Malice or not.

As for debating with myself,  I was clarifiying for it took me a bit to make sure I was clear the second time around.  Besides, when I lived by myself and beat all he games I knew or owned, I was playing chess against myself with a movies on.  I would spend 5 to 10 mintues just staring at the board then just move about a dozen pieces around as each color plays things out.  that is trippy to watch.  espically when I complain about how I keep losing to myself.
Koku

Well you are guaranteed to lose against yourself, but also guaranteed to win against yourself. Also, this is not the best thing to do if you want to learn how to play chess under pressure, but a good way to learn possible moves. It is a lot different from playing with another person, but that goes without saying. Also, I have not beat every game I own, but I rather post on LE and this causes me to have to put them on hold.
As for the malice thing- I think now that it is a lot easier to get negative malice, it should open up some tings for people other than Obagon and me.
Billgar

Man....so how about those orbs!

When looking at the new orb page i am completely filled with pride over my having created them! They are just so varied and nice yet simple! Like icons! Yes the orbs....so awesome indeed!
Archaic

Yeah and the more I look at the obnoxious orb, the more I realize just how amazingly awesome it is. I mean not only is it a better deal than the strengthening orbs in regards to damage, but it also gets you a negative malice that is probably equivalent to the amount one gets for kicking someone in the.... nether-regions or slaughtering a puppy!
Koku

They make the souls valuable, and they make being good a little easier. Also, it is nice to see cool looking orbs.
Billgar

Ok so i just wanted to bring up the shame that i feel that schmall is the only one that actually reads the updates on the first page. As a result the offer for 50GC has now closed.
Billgar

minor update, not worth a new topic
Schmall

minor?!?  I acutally believe this a big one.  As soon as I saw the Bank sub forum pop up, I have been waiting for you to post what will happen there all day.  Now I am off to set up an account for myself seeing as I have no intention of spending money any time soon....
Archaic

Oh this is quite the nice update indeed. However, it contradicts you wanting us to spend a lot, as now I see a way for me to earn some more GC if I don't spend willy nilly. Oh well I'll just consider it a means of festivals preparations as those always cost me so much GC.
Billgar

Well, my hopes for it are that you will keep your monies in there but still spend liberally. Keep in mind that the more you spend the more GC i give.
Archaic

Hrmm this much is also true... I guess its like everythign else and all about finding the happy equilibrium. Either way this is a great update so very good job!
Koku

Indeed, I shall try to keep 2K GC in it, but I may keep less. That means I will be spending a little bit, I think up to 1k GC a month. It will be a great addition.
