POLLSWhy do the polls on LE always turn out so one sided?

Since th only people that like this place are the people that invited their friends, in which friends usually share the same interests. Things that could stop the one-sidedness is debates of real situations, like presidential candidates, and the always-controversial topics like abortion, the war in Iraq, and so on.

I vote note, they usually turn out one sided but on occasion don't. Besically the truth is beanbaker said it all, we are all pretty similar and such would have similar results.

Yeah there are times where someone disagrees, but its not a huge population, usually only one person. From what ive seen so far, about 5 to 6 people tend to vote.

That is really because there are about 5 or 6 truly active people. It makes sense that only about 5 or 6 people vote. Once the site picks up it shall be better though. It will than have a situation where the results may actually be varied.

I voted both, because I could, and also because the idea of having a yes and a no option for a question beginning with the word "why" doesn't really work ^_^

O Man, some beat me to the punch. I was gonna point out the absurdity of answering yes or no to a "Why?" question. O well. lol

I wondered about this sense first seeing the poll, but it is why I think saying one answer is better. It makes less sense to answer just one.

Its simple actually... we all think alike for some strange reason that beanbaker actually explained well. As for why this poll seems to be the only exception... that is because people are rigging it as so.

Woo!!! Its not one-sided!!! Its a tie!!! And there are 10 votes... yet only 6 people posted in this thread.

Some people voted twice. That would boost the votes to close to where they should be. Some people just vote and leave though. At least they took the time to vote though.

Haha voting twice. Now that I think about it, theres a couple ways to do that. Is that going to be fixed in the new site?

actually I think it was purposely done that way. Not many people checked it, but you could vote for both objects. You are able to set up polls so that you can vote for multiple answers.
