Post count per dayBefore this single post, my post count per day was exactly 20.00. That is awesome, and it only fell once.
Archaic
Mine is 1.16, but considering last week it was .86, that is actually a great jump considering how long I have been here. But really, as was decided earlier, PPD does not matter as much as % of total posts in the forum.
Koku
Mine is up to 3.5 posts per day (I think exactly), so it is pretty good considering I have been here for so long. I also left for about 1 and 3/4ths years in total. Once for a dumb reason and the second for a reason I forget.
Beanbaker
I know, but I've been watching my posts per day go up. It became more of an obsession actually. In like two or three posts I got another .05, but thats nothing. And yes, % is much more dominating.
Koku
My percent is over 19% so I am going for 20%. If I get that I will be happy, and also a little sad. I think a good forum should not have anyone with such an over dominating amount of posts. Still, I do not plan to stop anytime soon.
Beanbaker
Well you were here and still posting when things died down. Perhaps you deserve it more than you think, although that percentage could start decreasing when things pick up.
Archaic
Yeah a good forum has members that are all generally at the same level and not huge gaps between the member tiers. This forum however, is a bit crazy and you can easily tell who has been here the longest... for the most part. Bean is upsetting the order a little bit, but aside from him there is a general sense of order
Ok somehow my writing shifted to the side so bear with it..
Koku
I really hope it does. The challenge is to not let me reach it, all while writing good quality posts. It would be a win win situation.
Beanbaker
Plus, your high status gives a dominating stance, and nobody will overthrow you (if they can?). At least you can say you worked hard.
Koku
I doubt anyone can overthrow me. I worked harder then it looks to reach here. It was not just posting but showing fairness in judging. That and my power, I highly doubt someone will beat me any time soon.
Beanbaker
Soon, but perhaps later. Give me another two to four months and I'll be breathing down your neck. Trust me.
Archaic
Yeah Koku you do seem to be a posting factory like BB so although I may be left without a rival (I am too apathetic to really be considered a posting rival) atleast you two will always have your competitions to see who can post the most.
Beanbaker
I don't know Archaic, you seem to be keeping up. So long as we have continuous conversations like this where everyone responds, we'll all go up in post counts. Yet, you have to go on vacation someday Koku, or I'll duct tape you to a one-way trip to Maui.
Koku
Well I may post a lot but most of it, if not all has a quality that is needed. It will be interesting to see if we can keep up with each other. Once college starts I have no guarantees of being to active though.
Beanbaker
Same here with me in high school. I got two AP classes coming up, and judging how AP biology went, I will be on less often.
Billgar
Umm my activity once the school year begins will dramatically decrease, however i will still hold to the weekly updates.
As for member gaps its bound to happen in a forum that has been around since 2005 and has seen the streaks of inactivity that we have, as though for the exception of the site being launched we would only revive for new members. However as Bean demonstrated you can definately strive to catch up.
Also bean you go to north right? Raabis still AP bio?

Its the Bored Guy at work with no work to do that you have to keep an eye on. I may be behind, but catching up fast. Perhaps some day myself, Archaic, and Beanbaker will have to challenge you Koku just to see what happens. Sure, if you will, thats 6 souls, but imagine if we won. That would be fun. Just the battle alone would be fun. We would prlly need billgar to judge that one.
Of course, we three will need some more hps to withstand that sycthe of yours. The other two should be able to take at least 2 swings each. i will try to get there also, but hey, we will have to see.
Archaic

Schmall... Koku can still basically one hit kill Beanbaker and I. Until we all acquire legends, it will not happen as he over powers us. Even then, by the time we all have legends, he may have a gold or metal belt even, and thus we would still get decimated. Sometimes it is best just to leave certain people be.
Schmall
How very true. Still, fun to think about and I think it would be worth it once we all think we can take him. By the time we are all above 2K posts, he will prlly have another thousands or so himself. O well, one day *starts to daydream about epic battles*
Beanbaker
Well we are increasing in post counts just as fast as each other, so when we are about 2k, Koku will be about 4 to 5k. Kind of stinks, and we always have double team, but the more posts he gets the more damage, so you might be screwed anyways.
Schmall
I forgot about his 35% post count damage thingy. So yay, we would all need awsome weapons and strike first for he will just keep taking each of us out one by one. We do have the almost equal chance to jump in the Belts though. He may have more of a head start, but hey, we can catch him there.
Koku
Indeed, it is great having such a nasty legendary partnered with me. As long as it gets blood sometimes it is happy. Also, I may one day get ambitious and get twin stompblades, that would be a lot of fun to make legendary. It would take a whole heck of a lot of time, but it will be worth it.
Billgar
MAN LEGENDS!!! IM so pumped for when you guys get them! IT WILL BE SO FUN!!!!!!!
but there is such a long way to go......
Beanbaker
Yeah, we can all make legendaries when our main weapons reach their max. I suppose when two of the same type of weapons become legendary they then become different?
Schmall
I liked the looks of the stomp blades and I would have had a blast with them once I obtained them, legendary or not. Once the bisento came out, I knew I just had to have it. It may lack the raw power of the gilded weapons (the gladius for example), but hey. I cant really duel those that can afford it anyways. So I stick with my beloved bisento. Just need to come up with easier to describe moves for battles.
Archaic
Legendaries, as I understand it, will take form depending on how you use your weapon. Thus your legendary will naturally fit your fighting technique. Its a nice little touch that Billgar is doing.
Beanbaker
I didn't really choose the jutte either for brute strength, partly because I would be the only one with it, and its special feature. It would make quite the legendary too.
Archaic
Hrmm it all depends on how you use it Beanbaker. The way you're going now, it should turn into a nightstick. XD Just keep hitting people over the head with it.
Beanbaker
That would be cool, if the legendary was a police nightstick. I would prefer something more imposing, but it would be funny. I would take it more as a joke than anything.
Koku
You would take it as a joke until you go and use it, then you would be a little disappointed, but you will get over it. I was unhappy at first with my scythe, but now I am glad it is what it is.
Beanbaker
Well so long as the disarm remains (and maybe heightened a little more) then I will be happy for any additions to the weapon. Your scythe right now is the only thing that comes close to rivaling Billgar's.
Koku
It was also for its time extremely insane. It cost 500gc (which used to be your posts) to get the one of a kind it came from, and this was in the first month or so of LE being made. I posted a lot of random things to get it. Then I had to kill 10 people, which usually meant me paying off people to die from it. That is why it is so strong.
Beanbaker
Well, hard work pays off after all. Plus sacrificing others and paying them afterwards is a big hit to the funds. Good job I guess.
Schmall
For those that may have noticed, I use the entire bisento to full usage. The katana is just tooooo boring. Stab, thrust, slice, hack, and so forth. pretty boring. now the bisento, I can crush bones with the blunt end, hew through flesh with the length and weight of the weapon, and do a whole bunch of things with it. Set it for a charge from a critter, pole vault over your head and chop your arm off from behind, and plenty of other things that I am thinking of. soooo many options and avenues for creativity really.
Koku
Who is to there is not more to a katana. Why not hit someone with the dull end in the gut, making the curl up into the blade, throwing them over your shoulder because of this, spinning the blade around after it is free and then cutting them when they are on the ground. There is less to do with a scythe but I manage.
Beanbaker
Same here with the jutte. Since it was meant for a defensive weapon it is blunt, so I have to take that into consideration, such as jumping on someone and repeatedly smashing in their face and breaking bones. Sorry Obagon, I sent flowers and a "get well" card.

Schmall

Thats a good idea with the katana. I am gonna adapt that to my bisento. At some point I will have a signature move. For sure
As for the scythe, you also have options. you can trip with it a whole lot eaiser than with other weapons and strike while your opponent is prone. you can also start twirling it and wait for the opponent's eyes to keep following the blade, and then bring the blunt end down on top of thier head. while stunned and surprised, bring the blade up to finish the sucker off. Your character is strong enough to practically treat that sycthe as a staff.
Oh, and your chains can whip out too. intentally swing just short and the enemy jumps back, but only to be bashed in the face by chains. You can also loosen your grip so that the handle slides out and you grab the chain on the end. instantly the weapon got longer and the enemy is already stepping or hopping back, but not far enough. nasty.
the chains can entagle, use the blunt end, trip, distract, and i bet there are more options. Sure there must be other ways of using it like your katana idea, but i am thinking about the weapon itself for now.
Koku
I think the most I will ever do with my chains is use it to grab and swing my scythe around like a true psycho. Also, I do realize all the things I can do for little damage, but to do a lot it is mostly cutting. Now that I can punch with it to there are a lot of options though.
Schmall
In that case, hook the sycthe around them and pull them in. since the edge runs along the inside of the blade, this will cut. when you pull them towards you, you can kick, or body smash, or anything else that will not only hurt, but drive them further into the edge. just some thoughts for when you feel like playing with your prey....
Beanbaker
Yes nothing like playing with your dinner before you eat. I'm still trying to think of new things to say when I attack, but so far my signature move is just bashing in your cheek bones and eye sockets. One question for Billgar - one thing I didn't see on the jutte picture here was the rope on the bottom used to apprehend people. It wasn't present on all juttes, but I was wondering, can I still use it, in correlation with my damage of course. That way I can swing mine (a radius of maybe two and a half feet) and add some kind of strangling to my attacks. It will go off the normal damage, just looking for ways.
Schmall
I see your weapon more as a martial artist's weapon. I mean that you will be using your body just as much as your weapon. Dont be afraid of targeting joints. You may have a blunt tip on that thing, but ever stabbed a blunt stick into the ground?? May go in harder than a sharp one, but still penetrates. There is next to no muscle on the chest. You will at least crack a rib if you miss the slits between them. The gut has no bones at all. Matter of fact, blunt objects rip instead of a clean cut. Sharp knives may cut easer, but a dull one will do more damage. So stabbing is an option, just not on thick skulled Gnars.
Oh, what's stopping you from using the disarm ability on someone's wrist?? I best you can break a wrist easier than a sword blade.......
Beanbaker
Well a wrist doesn't fit into the disarming portion of the weapon. It could be broken by the blunt force however, and I already did learn about the joints. I read an article on the jutte.
Schmall
Know what would realllllyyy hurt. Jab the end into the side gut of someone, twist so that the prong is towards you, grab it with the off hand, and yank as hard as you can towards the front of the victim. Imagine the gore as you literally rip that person apart!!!!!
I love this icon just love it
Beanbaker
Actually, try doing this yourself - find the direct space where the joint of the shoulder (where arm meets torso) and, holding on to your back side with your fingers, press your thumb into the space. Or find a way to hook your finger onto your collarbone, and pull up. Those hurt. Imagine with a blunt weapon.
Schmall
ouch. you can go the easy way and just crush the wind pipe. good old fashion way!
Koku
I find joints hits do not hurt me a whole lot. It is weird. People try but I do not feel them all too much. I think I am just too skinny.
Beanbaker
I have trained my body to not feel it. I would ram trees. It would only be like twice a day, since I didn't want to send my kneecap, elbow, etc. to another part of my body. I've started to resist blows to the major nerves of my arms and shoulders. Working on the legs and torso.

Billgar

| Koku wrote: | | I find joints hits do not hurt me a whole lot. It is weird. People try but I do not feel them all too much. I think I am just too skinny. |
Nonono, despite what people think(other than bumbing your joints into tables), when you hit someone in the elbow or knee, it IS the person who hit them that gets hurt, no the person who gets hit.
Beanbaker
Yes, thats happened numerous times with people I faced. Nothing like watching them hurt themselves. When they do all the work, you can just sit back and watch them jump around in pain.
Schmall
I had one friend try to knee me in the balls for what I said. She got a big black and blue on her knee cuz I just turned my leg in a bit so that my knee protected me. Trick I learned back in soccer many years ago. thus, very rarely hit there and others get hurt instead for my shins and knees are solid after years of being kicked without shin guards.
Beanbaker
Yeah, I played soccer too, but resistence came from making soccer balls going thirty miles an hour to a dead stop with almost any body part (ended up being my gut most of the time), and after a season I never had a bruise on my joints again.
Koku
That is both good and bad. There is a reason to feel pain, and sure you might think it practical now, I bet when you are older you will be have a lot of serious issues with your joints...
Beanbaker
I always think of that, its not that I don't feel pain, its just the pain is too minor to be any noticable, either that or I position the joint right so only bone is hit. I don't gain resistance by slamming my knees into trees all day long, just about two hits a day. I do feel pain, just not a lot. More of a psychological thing now.
Koku
Well if you make your bones take a lot of damage that is even worse. You will make them very brittle when you are older, and will be able to brake a bone easier. Think about the future when doing such drastic things in the present.
Schmall
Being flat footed, running long distance in track, running the hurdles, playing soccer, and playing tough in general has taken a toll on my ankles. I have built up a massive threshold for pain in them. So when something happens like twisting my ankle or something, I have to stop and acutally think about it for i may not feel the pain that signifies something is wrong. when I do feel the pain, it would put most people in tears from what I have gathered from others. I dont mean to exaggerate or brag, but thats how it is. people would be screaming or crying when I feel pain in my ankles.
I have been flat footed, played tough, and played socer all my life. They took a major toll, but track definatly played a part in it all.
Beanbaker
It's not drastic, I know my limits (and no offense, but you're starting to sound like one of my parental figures). I keep it to a bare minimum. Its more of the mental suppression of pain. You want to feel it, but not let it hinder you.
Koku
If I sound like a parent it is because I have always been the responsible think things through over analytically, type of person. I realize that what I do now affects me later on. I also know when something sounds bad. DO not get me wrong, I do about the same thing with parkour, but it does not mean it is good.
Beanbaker
Well there's a ton of stuff that isn't good for us (like how they say coffee will kill you in thirty years, then they say its beneficial, then they contradict later). Can't say its bad for something might not happen, and can't say its good for something might happen, and we'll just call it a draw.
Koku
No your comparrison was idiotic. You WILL be weaker when you are older from what you do. I guranatee the amount of damage you did long term is pretty bad. Hope you get a lot of calcium as you seemingly hurt your bones and weakened them a lot (without you knowing). Also, if you made it so you feel a lot less pain physically, without the mental aspect) then you injured nerves, congrats on doing damage that will NEVER be able to be fixed on normal circumstances.
Beanbaker
You're showing parallelism to saying that if you smoke you will get cancer. Not true. If I could find it, I would show you the video on the escrima master who uses a ROCK to gain resistance in his hands. And he's seventy years old. Also, I do not think we would have the same conversation if I said I fell on concrete all the time, which (from experience). And I should rephrase, I really don't ram or smash my knee, I just don't know any good words to describe it.

okay guys. enough!! last time myself and archaic start to exchange hot words, you koku threatened to lock down the topic. Since i cant, I can get you to do so by spamming this topic. So cut it out!!

HAHA this topic was locked before i could get to it. Anyways, i think it should be, not for the HOT words, but becuz it shouldve become a new thread a long time ago when it stopped talking about post count!
