Safe ArborThe woodland committee send out a carriage to transport beanbaker to the location. It takes some time traveling on the ground, but eventually they arrive at Morale's Sanctuary. Bean disembarks. Before him stands a massive forest, of normal coloration. It almost seems strange though as one grows so accustomed to the Forest of Souls.
Entering the woodland, many strange noises are heard from all around, most likely the creatures dwelling there. Surely there is much new life to be discovered.

Despite nice scenery and sounds, I walk through the brush in search of any animal corpses. Perhaps there would be a trail of them, to lead to the source, although gruesome. Perhaps it is a bunch of poachers, or a foreign animal.

Wandering through the woods, bean hears the usual array of noises. On his toes and alert he is prepared in case something goes wrong. As a twig breaks under his shoes, eh hears a ruffling in the near by brush.
Beanbaker
"Am-min-nals" I mutter under my breath, wondering what that could have been. I continue walking along, ignoring the noise for it shouldn't be that important. All the while hoping the next step isn't on something's tail... or mouth.

Bean mindful of the rustling in the bushes presses onward. A Lacrimablis jumps out in front of him then steers(sp?) him in the eyes before running off. After a while the forest grows a bit thicker, and bean stumbles upon a massive structure crated out of sandstone. An enormous golden door seems to be the only entrance.
Beanbaker
"Hmm... No dead animals... I'll just poke around first just to make sure."
I walk around the structure to check for dead animals, thinking of the lacrimabilis that popped out of nowhere. Making a few laps around, I make my way to the front again and look at the door. For something so lavish, it seems out-of-place being in the middle of the forest.
I walk over, and hoping it is someone's residence, I hit the door a few times and wait for a response. A few more times if necessary. If nothing, I would see if the door will open enough to call through.

Walking around the building Bean stumbles upon a pile of fleshy remains. Though pile is the first word that comes to mind, it is truly more of a giant mound of leftovers. Investigating it seems as if a majority of the animals were consumed by some massive beast. Above the pile is a small overhand protruding from the building perhaps it is a shaft that expels waste from the inside?
Returning to the front of the building, bean investigated the door, it doesnt seem to budge. Snarling can be heard from the inside as well as the occasional intensely deep growl.
Beanbaker
I turn around and look at the shaft for what seems to be waste. "Doesn't seem like fun, but, it is the only way in..." I try to find a way to climb up into the shaft and see if it is large enough to fit through and make my way inside.
Billgar
Bean while trying to get up the shaft that is litterally dripping with blood feel his legs pulled at and finds himself outside of the hole once more. Two men in aluminum plating stand in front of him. Their faces masked but pieces of white paper. The paper has a strange red marking on it. One man holds a red book in his hand. The other wields a large bisento.
Beanbaker
"I've heard rumors about your types - I don't want any trouble, I am just here to find out what is killing all of these animals..."
I keep one arm on Zurgus to pull it up at any moment if they are hostile. I assume they are not, for they have been seen with the emperor, but better safe than sorry around these guys.

The two figures move forward silently, and grab bean by the arms. Dragging him a goof 100 yards away from the edifice, the release him and stand firmly, as if preventing him from moving further towards the building with the golden door.
Beanbaker
I stand up and look at their paper masks. "Not much for words I see... I'll look around elsewhere, but if nothing comes up I'll have to ask what is here..."
I walk backwards, staring suspiciously at the two guards. I turn around and walk fast, a little creeped out. Once I was out of eye sight, I start hunting the brush again for any more dead animals. Hopefully there is a different place, just to get away from those guards.

Bean looks through the brush for what seems like an eternity. After nearly a whole day of searching his nose finally stumbles upon something. A rancid smell of rotting mean. Following the scent he eventually come to a field full of compost heaps formed from the carcasses of dead animals.
Beanbaker
I search around the compost heaps, wondering if someone is farming nearby. I poke at the pile, wondering if the pile has specific animals, and if there are any signs of how they died.
Billgar
The animals appear to have been brutally ripped apart and partially consumed as well. No signs of agriculture are in the area.
Beanbaker
I search around the area looking for a trail of corpses or blood drippings. If they were consumed in that manner, it had to be another animal, perhaps an exotic species that have no natural predators in the area. If so, hopefully there is only one. If they are huge creatures, again, hopefully there is only one.
I look around for any signs, as I draw Zurgus just in case of any surprises.
Billgar
The trails of blood from dragging the corpses into a pile seems to come from the direction of the oddly placed structure with the golden door.
Beanbaker
I follow the trail back to the structure. I look for the paper-mask guards, and whether they are there or not, I yell out, "I'm here to find out what is killing all of these animals, and I am not going back saying a giant building has an insatiable appetite for partially eating things."
I look around the building more. Anything, a switch, a lever that could substitute for the waste hatch. If they are feeding it, then there must be a feeding hatch somewhere.

After bean hilarious exclaims his intentions. He sees the large golden door creep open, the two men with paper masks exit. Both of the armor sets are quite dented up. They lock the door with a great golden key. The man with the red book casts some spells and heats the armor, then bends it back into its proper form. good as new.
Beanbaker
"...Wow..." I shake my head and walk over. "I am sorry, but I need to know what is maliciously eating and massacring animals... and by the looks of things, it has no problem eating any of us. I'm not here to open your door, I just want to know what is causing all of the carnage." I think of how close we are to the forest of souls. Perhaps a stray from the forest that refused to return?
Billgar
the two figures stand silently and turn their masks towards you.
Beanbaker
*Sigh* "You guys do not seem like the ones who talk. Maybe some sort of sign of what is in there? I am here to end what is killing all of the animals, and I am going to do it if I must go through you two."
Billgar
The two individuals remain silent. Walking towards bean it seems that their intent once more is to remove him from the area.
Beanbaker
I pull out two seals and duck down to put them down near my feet. With two simultaneous blasts of light, I hope to barrel past the guards and get closer to the building.

You slam into the ornate door. It seems that they locked it on their way otu unfortunately. Knocking the tqo guards to the ground however, they dissassemble revealing that tey are nothing more than animated suits of armor.
