Chapter One
Into the Mist
The fog is thickly settled in the bay but you can hear they soft chiming of
bell. A light circle a ways overhead, you cant see the tower itself, but you
know that a light house is there. A shadow is seen through the fog, the
eerie silence is broken by its footsteps, as the echo upon a hollow dock.
Two figures approach it.
"Uah"
"Gwah"
they fall with thuds.
"I've been expectin' ya. You came cuz ye saw the papers didn't ye? Well
if ye be interested in comin' along ye better hurry....Im about to leave..."
The shadow disappears back into the fog, you know now that it was quite
obviously a man, but he was too far off to see his face. Stepping forth
with curiosity you approach the dock. Looking up the sails of a massive
ship wave above. a ramp slams down in front of you.
A deep manly voice calls out from the skies, most likely its the fellow
posted in the crows nest.
"All aboard!"
|
Koku
|
"This seems like fun, but I am also curious as to what this adventure may partake." I say trying to look through the fog. "Excuse me sir, but why have you called for people, what EXACTLY do you need done?"
|
Lord_Obagon
|
"If you were unsure why he called you then why did you come?" a voice bellows out to Jungle as a large figure walks by him.
|
Billgar
|
"Ah, it seems as if my crew is finally here, I can't express ta ya how pleased
I em. With that though lets be off."
Stepping onto the vessel, the fog slowly clears and you can make out the
face of he man whom you have been speaking with. Younger than you
imagined, he seems to be in his mid thirties, and relatively fair of skin. Being
broad shouldered, a dark trench coat covers his body. A small dagger is at
his side, and there is a flint lock pistol strapped to the back of his belt.
Remembering the voice from before you look up to the crows nest. I figure
quickly rises up, and leaps from it. doubting your eyes, he lands right in front
of you, unharmed after such a long fall. Your eyes scan over the boy. He can
be no older than 15. Smiling, he extends his hand out to you and welcomes
you aboard. As he does so, the you notice the captain(as that is who you
assume the large figure to be) undoing the last rope, and the ship sets sail.
|
Koku
|
"Well this should be fun." I say to Obagon, I then turn to the captain and ask, "What's are first goal. Shall we try to find and remove the barnacles from the ship, or do you have something much better in mind until we reach our destination?"
|
Billgar
|
"ah, that, well...it be fishin"
with one swipe of his arm, he knocks you both overboard into the water.
Confusing for a moment, you wonder how you are supposed to catch fish.
Ducking his head under the water, jungle takes a look around. a large beast
is see darting through the water in their direction, it appears to be hostile.
|
Koku
|
raising my head out of the water, I take my scythe in both hands, and turn to the captain. "How are we suppose to fight this, we can not breather under water, at least not for more than 5 minutes., and it is rather difficult to swim while holding onto something heavy in both arms!" With that I turn back to prepare to fight the creature.
|
Billgar
|
"Im sure you'll figure it out."
He chuckles to himself and walks in on the deck, now out of your site.
The monster arrives and reaching out its neck bites into jungles should, leaving a fair sized wound for 42 points of damage.
|
Koku
|
While still biting me I swing my scythe into one of his eyes, holding him there allowing Obagon to also attack this aquatic annoyance.
|
Billgar
|
Jungle gashes his scythe into the eye of the beast, dealing an overwhelming
197 damage, It flounders about trying to get control of itself.
|
Lord_Obagon
|
Obagon lets out a menacing chuckle as the creature flounders about. The sound of the laugh is then silenced quickly as his axe swings at the creature's other eye.
|
Billgar
|
Obagons cut is shallow as it deals a mere 78 damage to the beast. It lungers out at obagon, annoyed and manaced, but barely catches him for a meager 5 damage.
|
Koku
|
Before the creature could escape, I slice into the side of its mouth and down the side of its body (hopefully). I realize that the blood around this area is a lot, so I wish to finish this quickly as to make sure no other creature(s) come to feed.
|
Billgar
|
jungle does just that gouging into the side of the beast dealing 93 dam. It lets out a howl, and lunges at him tearing into jungles flesh for 65 damage. It redirects its gaze at Obagon.
|
Koku
|
"wow, this thing hates me so much, what did I do to it to make it want to attack me so badly. I suppose that is what I get for not training to fight in water"
|
Lord_Obagon
|
Its gaze is met, not with Obagon's eyes, but with the reflection of his own in the axe head that is inches from his face and closing.
|
Billgar
|
It makes sharp precise contact for an overwhelming 150 damage. Its shakes its head in showck for a moment.
|
Koku
|
Is it my turn for revenge I say angrily. Before it can regroup I swim up towards it from below and slice up, hoping to cut the dang thing in half. Knowing this will probably not happen, I still attempt, hoping to maybe cut off a small digit.
|
Billgar
|
Its dorsil flipper is cleaved clean off, but it quickly lashes back whamming you for 88 damage.
you dealt 127 damage
|
Koku
|
"You D#$@ fish, your dorsal fin is mine now!" With that being said I put it in the back of my cloack securely (or if it is too large I find a way to strap it to my back.
|

*items updated, waiting for obagons attack*
|
Lord_Obagon
|
Laughing at the now injured enemy, Obagon swings his ax toward its neck in hopes to leave a bloody stump.
|
Billgar
|
Obagon finds his hopes denied, as the hardened beak of the foe catches his axe. However, putting forth an extra burst of strength, you heave the axe deeper in cutting its tongue(not off).
Pulling your axe from your hands it spins around and hits you with its tail. releasing the axe at the moment of impact, you dive down slightly to get it.
Dam to Obagon:39
Dam to Beast:21
Running out of air, all part members take 99 dam
|
Koku
|
I learn my lesson about needing air, and because we are somewhat close to the surface, go up and get a quick breath of air. After that is done, I go back down and get really close to the beat, to attempt to take off another digit (I am trying to start a collection, and who knows if the captain will want the spare parts) by slicing as quick as the water lets me. After that is done I already head back up to attempt to get air, knowing the beast has now turned towards me.
|

Jungle swings down his scy......
*bang*
A shot echoes out as the beasts each violently explodes. The captain looks
overboard.
"Whats takin' yeah so long? 'tis onle a fish!"
He pulls out a pipe cleaner, and goes about cleansing the still-smoking
barrel of his flintlock pistol.
"Anyways, hurry up and get its body on deck, thats the least ye could du.
Then prepare it to be cooked and bring it to the chefs cabin."
After some awkwardsness on your behalfs as you tried to skin it with a
scythe and giant axe, you get it cut up neatly, and bring it to the chefs
quarters. A calm woman sits behind a metallic table. Looking up..
"Who are you? Ive never seen you on this vessel before. Alls well doesnt
matter anyways i 'spose, ya brought me somethin to make dinner with
and thats good. lazy good for nutin captain always slacking off. We barely
eat!
Always lookin in that Red Panda mirror in his room talkin' awn and awn 'bout
how pretty he is in hat stupi' accent dat he think to be so chawrmin'.
Anyways, its do us some good to have a meal, build up sum strength ya'
know. Anyways, could ya do me a favor cuz I be the one cookin this here
meal for ya. Go do to the hold o the ship. I been hearin' sum weird
noiseses downs der, and havnt been able to sleep so good at night. dank
you dears, now on wit ya!."
Reluctantly you make your way down into a rather cold storage room,
nothing but boxes and mold seem to be around.
|
Koku
|
"Can it be... invisible barnacles that I have heard about before."I think to my self, "It would be a lot less deadly than what we probably will face." Still bleeding a little, the pain brings me back to my senses. "So Obagon, what do you think of this situation?" I ask. "It must be nocturnal, and can not be too big, but it may be numerous. This may get to be rather annoying. I hope it is just a stowaway that is non threatening. I need to treat my wounds better."
After saying all of that I look around the area, looking for what might be making the noise, and anything that I may be able to get away with using to treat my injuries.
|
Beanbaker
|
*admin intro*
A box scuffles off to the left, and a figure creeps out from behind it, startled
at first he appears to be a lower level ranking member of the crew.
"Fear not, I am not an enemy! I'm sorry if I started any of ye, but the chef forced me to join, claiming i had great potential. Instead of moving on to greatness, i got stuck with the dirty work like swabbing the deck and cleaning the hull... to be honest, methinks the chef doesn't even know if i'm still alive..."
|
Koku
|
Seeing him, I am relieved, I do not need to get hurt right away. Looking at him I talk lightly, as to not let anyone on the above deck hear. "I see, so do you know of the goings of the people up above. I am curious to know if they may have any secret they may have. If they are doing anything too bad, I want to either put a stop to it, or I want in. Oh, and are there any good supplies here. It seems like they do not come down here, or else they would have noticed you, so there may be something to salvage." Best to be prepared, I do not think they plan on keeping us for much longer after our existence becomes useless to them." Speaking so deviously, I put up the hood to my still soaked cloak.
|
Beanbaker
|
"Well, as much as i do know, the only secret I've heard was the captain talking of a sword, a demonic sword, which 'serves as the foul heart of an undefeatable beast'... Me mum told me not to believe in such fairy tales, but i believe hes out for the power of the sword. As for supplies, I've only been able to scrounge up some flatware and jerky. Ye can look around if ye like, but even I haven't strayed any farther than here."
|
Lord_Obagon
|
That sword sound intriguing, but for now we must decide what to tell the cook. If she does not remember you it may be best to keep him here as a secret.
|
Koku
|
"Indeed it will be. While we go back up, QUIETLY examine the rest of the area to find out what is here. Things like under water breathing mechanisms will be especially good to find. They may need to be used. We will be back, we need to tell the lady of the rodents we found." As I say that I put down my hood and head back up.
|
Beanbaker
|
"Ugh... my mind says I should go, but my stomach is telling me otherwise" I whisper to myself, and start trudging down between the dark rows of mold-covered boxes.
|
Koku
|
I heads back up to report to the lady. I head to the door to look for anything that may be suspicious (please inform me if there is anything, such as suspicious crates or canons that seem to be modified to attack very big creatures). I knock on the door and wait for a response.
|
Billgar
|
The door swings open, but the room is empty.
|
Koku
|
The room being empty is rather concerning. For her to leave so quickly when she knows we would be back. Something is not quite right. I look at Obagon to see what should be done. Quietly I start to talk to him. "If we enter this room, it may give them reason to attack, and that it may be better to go to the other quarters to try to find the people to talk to, but there may be some good stuff here. I also think that if we do not go in we are more vulnerable to be thrown back into the water, and that is never fun... It may be safest to just head back down, but what is the fun in that?" With that I wait for his answer, alert of any sounds like footsteps.
|
Lord_Obagon
|
We will get nowhere if we just head back down. I believe we should head into the room, if someone does find us we can just say that we were waiting for her return.
|
Koku
|
"Ok, that makes sense." As I head in the smell of the food was still lingering. Looking around I see that there are a few cupboards that are not looked. Curiosity is getting the best of me, but I know that if I get caught, I will surely be tossed into the sea. With that realization I manage to restrain myself, but only for a short time. Without warning I plave obagon in front of the door, I point and form symbols with my hands to say that I want to check one cupboard to see what is inside, and for him to make sure the door stas shut. All I need is a split second. I quickly run over to one of the cupboard and open it, than quickly shut it. Inside of it was... (Billgar, insert item(s) here). )
|
Billgar
|
A rack containing several spices for cooking, also on the shelf below were
some dehydrated noodles, and a bottle of vitamin c pills.
|
Koku
|
Seeing nothing of interest I shut the cupboard and wait. "I'm just gonna rest my eyes for a bit. Don't worry, I am not going to sleep, I just need to start thinking things through more." With that I put my hood on and close my eyes. Listening to the sounds of the boat rocking with every wave.
|
Billgar
|
You begin to drift off as you listen to the soothing sounds of the ocean,
Beanbaker had rejoined you while you were waiting, and as you lazz about
Obagon take it about himself to looks out the port hole. A wide array of sea-
life swims by, some beutiful and some terrifying, you notice an entire heard
of the creature that you fought before. Almost losing yourselves to the maj-
esty of the sea, you are snapped back into reality with the sound of foot steps
approaching.
Looking up as the captain makes his entry, he immediately fixes his attention
on you.
"Ye missed dinner, so i figured at least I could give you some rations so meh
crew aint dyin on meh now. We'll be arrivng at our destination in a'few day mos
likely, so youll wanna get sum rest."
He leaves like a hero from an action movie, with his back to the camera and fading
into light.
*your party has been fully healed*
|
Beanbaker
|
"That was a little odd... he always seemed more introverted to me. He must be planning something. By the way, I found nothing below deck except some old maps and a good rat bite. Who are you guys anyways? You don't seem like traditional sea-goers"
|
Lord_Obagon
|
I am the guy with the ax, that is all you need to know.
|
Koku
|
"I guess that makes me the guy with the scythe" I say. After looking around for a second I turn back to the other two. "Well we still have a few days, we might as well get some rest. However, before we go to rest, I would like to know why you (Beanbaker) decided to come onto the ship in the first place?" I sit down and prepare to hear the story.
|
Beanbaker
|
"I joined the navy a while back, trying to settle a grudge, but I was pushed aside to clean the ships. About a week ago I took my only possessions, some dried food and my sword, and deserted the navy. They maybe looking for me on land, if they remembered I ever existed, and I stowed away to a port town. The mess chef of this ship saw me wandering the town, almost pulled me aboard against my will, and I've been here ever since. If I ever return to a navy port, they'll arrest me and hang me."
|
Koku
|
"I see. A grudge eh, those things usually don't end well. At least one person dies or is hurt beyond recovery. Be careful." With that I take my leave to the bottom of the ship. Looking around I look in a box covered by a long cloth. Taking the top up of it I notice that it is more or less empty, holding just a few trinkets. Feeling that it would be OK, I take the cloth and head towards on of the walls. I sit down, placing the scythe standing on my left shoulder. Wrapping the cloth lightly around my neck I use it as a sheet. I then go back to holding the scythe with my right hand (as I hold it with my right hand, just in case) and go to sleep.
(on a side note- kind of long winded way of saying I go head back down and sleep, but makes it seem more epic)
|
Beanbaker
|
"Wherever you are McFarn, you're dead..."
|
Lord_Obagon
|
Obagon walks down shortly after Jungle, paying little heed to Beanbaker's words. He stands to the stairs of the door leaning against the wall, thinking it best to be the first one awake should something come down.

Chapter Two
By Land, Sea, or Sky
The ship quickly jolts to the side causing all three adventurers to lose their
footing. "All hands on deck," I rasped out by the captain. You all rush up
the stairs to the upper level, where the captain and the cook stand in a
ready stance with their gazes focused upward.
Over head a large dirigible moves slowly, almost hovering, three ropes
descend as uniformed individuals cascade down them quickly
overwhelming the deck of the ship.
Dressing in solid white, one man stands out as his robes are a dark blue.
"Hmmm.. I thought that you would be here," *he flicks his medium length
shiny black hair to the side* "you see, no one, regardless of how weak or
strong they are EVER deserts my squadron. Consider yourself lucky Bean,
that I am allowing you to go on living and what's more to assume your
previous post. Doesn't that sound splendid? I mean for you to be gra......."
The voice of the man uniformed in blue is cut off as a shot bellows
throughout the air. A small tuft of his bang hair flutters to the ground.
You all redirect your gaze to the captain on your ship, he stands in a
long fighting stance, feet spread apart, knees bent, his right arm holding
his left, and his left holding his pistol.
"I don't recall given ye permis'in to come aboard, ye see, dis is my ship,
and here I make the laws."
The man in dark blue smiles.
"Is that so........Captain Lock. Dont look so startled of course my glorious
self would know your name, as their is but nothing which i can fail to
obtain. I have no interest in you as of the moment, so you can continue
along you little joy ride here, but I Capt. J.W. McFarn leader of the 48th
squadron, will not be leaving empty handed. HE will be coming with
me."
Captain McFarn extends his finger and points at BeanBaker.
"Well are you ready?"
Another shot rings through the air, as Lock fires a second round.
He swiftly approaches the young navy brass, and dropping low, kicks his
feet out from under him. Quickly drawing his dagger, Lock puts it to the
officers throat. Shoving the blade aside, McFarn Rises to his feet.
"Well then, i suppose we shall have to do this the hard way?"
*with a snap of his fingers you are encircled by the men in white
uniforms*
|
Koku
|
"Well the fun begins" With that I put up my hood to show that I am in the killing mood. Seeing the men circled around I realize that my scythe is going to get the blood its been craving. With great speed I get into attacking position and swing with a horizontal cut. Doing so I plan to hit three people (one to the north east, one to the north, and one to the north west of me). Realizing that it may be blocked for one I just hope for the best.
As I attack, I turn my head quickly to Obagaon and say "I do not think they will kill bean baker, so they will be focusing on us."
Then I quickly look at beanbaker, "Well what are you going to do? You can not just go back, and should fight. Be careful and try to strike the vitals."
I turn back to see how my attack did, and to see who may be attacking me.
|
Billgar
|
My swarm of individuals seems endless. As jungle swings his scythe, it cuts into the first person at the torso. quickly reacting the uniformed seaman grabs the scythe pulling jungle in closer. Unsheathing a small blade at his side, he stabs jungle b4 he dies..
*jungle takes 12 dam*
*jungle gains 2 souls*
|
Beanbaker
|
"I'm so sorry, you should never have been dragged into this. I will however, stand and fight this time."
I quickly select a soldier and charge him, with my hand on the hilt of my sword, parallel to my chest, to try to get as close to him and duck, hoping to gain momentum with an upward thrust into the abdomen and chest cavity.
|
Billgar
|
You strike him and deal some damage, he appears to be a weakling
*beanbaker deal 11 dam*
|
Lord_Obagon
|
Laughing at the navy fools Obagon decided to join the fun. He draws his ax and begins to swing away at all those around him.
|
Billgar
|
You sink your ax deep into the skull of one of them killing him instantly.
More continue to descend from the dirigible above.
|
Koku
|
Finding this a good time to get souls, and possibly some currency, I swing my scythe so that it would cut horizontally through a soldiers arms and chests, and then attempt to grab the weapon (and possibly the arm holding the weapon) before it hits the ground. It may not be worth much but hey, its currency.
|
Billgar
|
Most conveniently due to plot deveopment, anything you sever INSTANTLY
DISAPPEARS!!! Anyways, you cleanly cleave the arms from another navy-
cadet and they fall down bleeding to death. A large man, in the same white
uniform emerges from their swarm and punches obagon square in the face
*jungle recieves 2 souls*
*obagon takes 196 dam*
|
Koku
|
"laughing as I see what happened to Obagon, I look at him and manage to suppress my laughter just long enough to say, "man you just got blind sided, that must be embarrassing." With that I go back to a light laugh. I realize I should stay serious but it is hard.
|
Lord_Obagon
|
It won't be so embarrassing when his head is hanging off of my belt says Obagon as he swings his ax at the large man.
|
Billgar
|
Obagon's Ax comes down at amazing speed, and splits the man right down
the center. A small bag drops from his side, and looking within, he takes out
5 GC. Several of the men shrink back in fear after having seen one of their
strongest warriors fall in a single blow.
McFarn, looking over at the commotion, changes his expression from a
sadistic smile to a frown. He fires a shot through bean bakers knee.
"I've had enough of this, ill be taking my leave."
Delivering a quick blow to the stomach of your captain, he falls to his knees.
McFarn rushes over to take Beanbaker, and grabs a rope. The Dirigible takes off, and he makes a clean escape, that is except for the 15 or so crew members that he left behind.
Not knowing what to make of the situation, they have a confused look on
their faces, but ready their swords.
|
Koku
|
"Put away your swords you fools, you will only end up dying. Now tell me where your captain is heading!" Taking a breath I continue to stare at them with such a fierce intensity to let them no that I mean business. "I do not care about him taking that kid, I barely knew him, but leaving you guys and more importantly the fight just does not go well for him. He was willing to let you guys die, if that is the type of captain you want to follow fine, then die! If you want justice you will tell us where he is going to be. Everyone on this ship has a bone to pick with him, now tell us where he is going. Tell me everything you know!" I look at them ready to see one of their reactions. I ready myself so that if one of them attacks I can cut them vertically up their body. I hope I would not need to kill another, but I know it is a distinct possibility.
|
Lord_Obagon
|
Obagon drags his ax head back and forth across the mangled body of the large man, staring at the rest of McFarn's crew with a sadistic grin across his face. Waiting for their response.
|
Billgar
|
The shrink back in continued fear and confusion, as your captain clearly loses consciousness.
|
Koku
|
Knowing the female is still on the ship, I let her deal with the captain. It is more important to get one of these people to talk. "Going over to one I stare him down and start to interrogate him. "You are now going to answer my questions. You may ask your buddies there (looking at the other sailors) for help if you do not know the answer to one. If you give me wrong information I will kill you, if you give me good information your life will be spared. Undrstand" I say. Before he can respond I go on. "Now, where are they taking beanbaker, and why are they taking him? If that is asking to much, then just tell me where they are taking him." As I say that I make sure to gesture to Obagon to watch the other sailors as I watch this one, keeping enough space between us, just in case I have to attack him still. I wait, rather impatiently for the answer.
|
Billgar
|
The captain regains his senses swiftly and rises to his feet with the help of
the head chef. "Ah, so seems they got him. No need ta worry though, just
one crew member wont make dat much of a difference. Ar. Anyways, we've
got a bit more sea ta cover before we get ta dat Is-land over yonder. Start
work on preparin' this vessel for landing!"
"Aye aye, and land ho!" shouts a voice from the crows nest. *you remember
the boy from chapter one.
Then with a thud, the cook ceases to assist the captain, and lets him fall to
the ground. "Seems ya stil jus a youngin tu, and a no good un at dat. Da
boy join dis crew cuz i made im cuz ya ask me tu, and now he alls gone,
and ya aint got nutin ta say, i think we need ta be a goi....."
The oh so familiar shot rings out through the air, as a large cavity opens
up in the back of the head chefs head. "We didn't much need her
anyways an besides, weve got you twos here if we need any cooking
done. Well alright then lads, lets get ready to step foot on this island, its
going to be a worthwhile risk indeed."
A bit shocked, jungle gathers the chefs soul and looks over to the navy
men still on the ship. the vessel jolts suddenly, and they fall over
board.
|
Koku
|
"another person I have to get who did nothing wrong." With that I pause momentarily to put my hood back on, less people see any emotion on my face. With that I walk to the sailors, clean this shop from top to bottom, you have nothing better to do." After saying that I start walking with the captain, knowing he is rather strong I do not want to irritate him now. I look back to him, and knowing that we are going to be facing some monsters I ask him, "What do you expect us to need to kill. I hate going blindly into something, I want some information."
|
Lord_Obagon
|
Obagon is looking over the side of the ship, laughing at the navy crew as they scream and shout for help. He decided to look around for any corpses left to throw them near, in hopes the blood attracts something...
|
Billgar
|
all of the navy crew disappeared after death, the only remaining corpse is that of
the chef.
|
Koku
|
While the captain is busy I stealthfuly go to the corpse and see if she is hiding anything (item wise to make it clear). Hoping that Obagon has my back and is distracting the captain I search, make sure to be respectful of the body. Before the captain can notice what I did I put the body back in the position it was before, and then head back to the captain's side quietly, now hiding something on my back under the cloak (alongside the dorsal fin).
|
Lord_Obagon
|
Having not found any corpses and still unsure why navy troops disappear, Obagon went over to the captain to distract him and find out if he knew why navy troops disappear after death.
|
Billgar
|
The captain, releasing a huge amount of nasty breath which seems to have
been brewing for some time, explains to Obagon that they disappear in
order to aid plot development.
"Wit that being said, throw this here corpse over board, since there aint
nowhere on the ship that id want it."
After giving the order he returns to his cabin to make preparations for when
you go ashore.
|
Koku
|
"Glad I check the body before it was thrown overboard" I say. I head downstairs to check out what it was. Going down I take it from reaching under my cloak and taking it from my back. I notice that the thing is... a small piece of cloth, slightly moist. Perhaps once used asa handkerchief
|
Koku
|
I go back up and wait for the captain to return from his cabin. I practice the basics of my technique (one must not get rusty). As I see Obagon just hanging by a side, I realize how bored we both really are. There are great battles top be fought and we can not go yet, less we wish to be killed by the captain. After 15 minutes or so I decide enough is enough and stop. I sit down and rest until finally the captain comes out to command us on what to do.
|
Billgar
|
"Get ready, its time to go! My treasure awaits, just over there! Its said to
wait in the belly of a savage beast who prowls in that there large building
over yonder!"
rushing up to the deck the remaining crew inspects the not so far off island.
It is the Imperial palace! What beast could hold such vast power out of the
the emperors hands whilst staying so close?
"Ready Lads, lets get going ashore."
The captain has you both row the rowboat as he reloads his pistol.
Soon you arrive at shore, and make you way up to the palace.
"No guards? and here i thought this would be a challenge."
You all walk boldy up together and make your way through the
overbearing doors and enter the palace.

Chapter Three
An Inconvenient Twist of Fate.

Koku
|
As I walk in I sense that something is askew. Looking around I can not see too much that is out of place. However, I can hear things around me, things that sound like steps. "I think there is someone already here, and I do not like the feeling I am getting. Are you two getting the same feelings." As I say that I prepare to get into a battle. I do not want to be taken off guard. I stand still gathering everything.

The silence is invaded only by the door to the throne room
which eerily creaks open across the room.

Lord_Obagon

Obagon's hand twitches as he readies his ax. His eyes darting back and forth waiting to see what comes, or what is waiting in the throne room.

The party advances onward, and enters, the room is dark, and it is hard to
see. The captain leads, pistol in hand, trembling with either excitement or
fear. A single torch ignites near the throne some ways off, and a figure is
silhouetted. Finally you all come within sight of the throne.
His Eminence sits upon the throne staring out. His gaze rests upon the pistol.
"Koku! You did well to bring him here. For you see, it does me no good to
have such a power roaming freely throughout my kingdom."
"Ar, so this is what was meant by beast?" quirks the captain as he lights the
rope on his gun. "However, whilst you think your invincible, even I can kill
you with this." The hilt of his gun shines under the torchlight.
"Is that so? For you see I have little faith in your skil.."
The Emperor is cut off the the sound of the firearm as a large hole appears
through Koku's skull.
"Hmmm..."The emperor sighs.
Just then a shadows appears from behind the captain, as a massive beast
forged of bone appears. Before the sea-fearer even notices his torso is
removed becoming a meal for the undead monstrosity. Calmly walking
over the Emperor unsheathes his sword from his side. Holding it in his
right hand, he pets the skeletal dragon on the head. "Good boy."
Stabbing his blade through the pistol that fell to the ground, it turns to ash.
Obagon standing to the side is silent but not surprised. perhaps he just
wanted to kill more. Koku's remains lie on the floor, but with the sprinkling
of some powder he is restored, and his a bit of confusion returns to his
duties within the palace.
