Sticky golden pig venting ballWhen my friend went to China, he bought a lot of these "venting balls" which are balls in the shape of animals and objects that are filled with water and when fresh can stick onto walls when thrown. I have a golden one that I still play with. It is a great thing to own.

I dont think i really understand what it is at all, can you provide a picture of it?

Here is an image I found. It is funny to throw, but mine is getting a little old so I fear it may pop. So for now I respect it by just letting it sit. The best thing is that its reminds me of tonkatsu from Nagasarete Airantou.

Yeah it was pretty cool, but now that its aging like an already old dog... well it has seen better days. There was even a time that thing was leaking, but it has sense stopped for some strange reason.

It is not doing bad, but the leak was weird. I may try to fill it with water again and hope it lives again. If it still has a small leak then I can fill it from there. It was a really good gift.

Sounds like fun. I used to have something similar that was in the shape of a yo yo with a loop on the end so that you can attach it to your finger. Loads of fun. That is until it pops and gets the gooey, sticky stuff all over the place.

well the gooey stuff is all on the outside, the inside is just filled with water. Still if it pops I will be extremely ad. I do not want an exploded pig. I like my pigs to be round and in one piece.

Its like a little piggy timed water bomb. Still, the pig and the yoyo thing sound slightly different as the pig is used primarily as a stress relief where as your thing was a toy in nature... that made a mess when its time was up.

Ah, I understand better now. Does sound fun to have at the desk to play with during calls for me. Too bad its all sticky so my desk would become a mess....

LOl, it is not even sticky anymore. I think the outside layer might have dried up and vanished. So now it is a non sticky golden pig ball at the halfway mark with water.

Therefore its even better for you to have at your desk. Although, even when it was sticky it wasn't messy sticky, but rather sticky to a reasonable level. Its like one of those things you get from those quarter machines... the ones that are shaped like hands and stuff.

Ah, cool. The one I was describing also had a layer of oily stuff on it. It mostly was designed to keep the tenticles from sticking to each other and to the ball part of it. I wash it one day for that was loads of hair and dirt stuck to it. Bad mistake. All tenticles stuck to each other and to the ball. Not as much fun then.
Good to hear there is a lack of stickiness. More fun to goof off with in a way. Granted it also takes away some of its protections against the elements I imagine.

Well the thing about it facing the elements is that it really doesn't have to. I live in the same building as Koku and I can tell you that it is also hot and relatively dry, and thus it does not have much elements it has to face. I also do not see how stickiness helps it against the elements, but I am guessing you have a story about that that you were saving.

As Archaic said the stickiness would probably not help with the elements at all. I think for the most part it is just a thing layer of liquid or whatever the pig was dipped in. It would not help protect from the elements any more then a think layer of gloss would.
