The death of visual PleasureSo due to my growing knowledge of Motion graphics, certain things seems disenchanted, even in animation, i find myself constantly stopping and returning to homework assignments to test out how i think htey did a certain effect and apply it into my work. Anyways it makes watching things slightly less relaxing and more ..... some word that fits the sentence but means having to observe and learn....educational! yeah thats it!

Mm that is the danger of education sometimes. I took a class before about film and stage effects, and now movies kind of suck a bit....

I had the same problem with a book I was required to read. It got me to not trust any advertisement or even nonfiction, and I started to question the logic behind everything to a point of people becoming aggravated. At least you're learning how things work, instead of always relying on the granted fact that something just works.

Yes, i suppose that that is true, and I do enjoy designing and learning how to make things. On a positive note however, my few episodes of anime each night before sleep do teach me stuff so i feel less guilty.

This is the same reason that I don't play as many video games as I used to. Like when I was playing Half Life 2(Shooter for those who don't know), and I could tell exactly where the line was that I had to cross to spawn an enemy. Or noticing that they used a texture for one monster and later used that texture for the wall of a building. Luckily if it enjoyable enough, like Jade Cocoon or in your case like Gintama, you can still watch it and fully enjoy it even while noticing everything else.
