The Oasis

A flying carriage soon appears in the designated location and picks up the three travelers. Traveling to the north, a bit of the plains is seen before the land turns into a rough and rocky terrain.
The arena is seen directly below, and it appears that there is some time of skirmish going on, though nothing was planned.
Eventually the rocky terrain turn mountainous as massive forms appear on the horizon. taking some extra time, the wagon circles around the mountains so as to maintain a decent level of oxygen for those traveling on it.
Towards the end of the mountain range, a large volcano is present, apparently still active as it seems to be generating an immense amount of heat. Finally....desert.

As soon as the travelers enter the desert skies, a violent storm picks up. Sand whipping every which way, the caravan is battered and damaged badly.

As it begins its nsoe dive downwards, the side suddenly splits open as the head of a massive bird breaks through the fabric casing of the carriage. Snapping it fails to get at any passengers and pulls out its head.

In the chaos, all sense of direction is lost, and the carriage crashes into the sand.

Spoiler:

You lay in the rubble of the destoryed carriage, please in your introduction mention yourself crawling out from it. Though visibility is poor due to the horrible storm, you can clearly see that you are in a desert.

Changing of armor/equipment is allowed, and you can assume to have all items in your inventory. No switching out armor/weapons during fights however.

Also please make sure to own a Sand Cape before you begin on this quest.

Koku

As I kick out any rubble in front of me I then focus on the rubble on top of me and around me. Clearing it enough to make a little den I then open my cloak up and check on my wass, hoping he is ok. I allow him to get out before I attempt to. As he leaves, he quickly comes back in covering his eye. Fumbling a little bit due to the impact, I soon get my footing. Looking around through the mask, I can see why my wass wanted back into my cape. "We will ned to wait till the storm clears before trying to travel, unless you guys know which way is north. There is no clear direction of the sun, and none of us have compasses so we will just have to deal with this storm for now."
Archaic

*Archaic picks himself up and dusts himself off. Checking for injuries he finds that he is uninjured, but flustered. Trying to think of what to do next, Archaic looks around to see if there is anything that could be used to get any sort of barring.*

"Well what do we do now?"
Beanbaker

"I have no idea,"  my voice manages to speak, muffled under wood and metal framework.  Popping my head out, "It looks like we have no choice of turning back either.  Let us hope the hungry bird has passed."  I crawl out and spit out the sand between my teeth.
Billgar

As sand whips to and from the wreckage is battered and slowly begins to sink in the sand. The three travelers all glad that they did indeed bring their sand capes, as the quest instructed. Kokus wass a bit battered had inhaled some on the sand and was feeling a bit ill. Slowly the storm lessens but never quite subsides. It seems as though this is would be the best time to travel. The water supply having been ruined by the wreck however was most likely the greatest concern. Not to mention food and water.
Koku

Thinking of the bird I try my best to keep from being discovered as I travel quickly east from the top of the wreckage. Unless I can see the sun, there is no reason not to travel in one direction. I rush as I do not want to be seen by the giant bird.
Archaic

*Archaic runs in the same direction as Koku. Wanting to stay together so the huge bird will have an other target, Archaic also thought about the possibility of other huge animals in the desert that could easily pop up and ambush the travelers.*

"Hey Koku, what made you think that bringing your wass with you was a good idea? I mean don't those things usually like water, and you brought him to a dry place..."
Koku

"He will be fine, he is a tough little creature who likes to be with me. Besides last time I left him a lone for a given time, my living quarters was practically destroyed. I think part of it was in anger, but the other part in boredom." As I finish sayign this I look down at him to make sure he will be fine.
Beanbaker

I stay quiet while running alongside everyone else, trying to anticipate their movements, since they are faster than me.  I look back, but despite not really seeing anything, I just look around while running.  "I do not recall whether or not we had a driver...."  I keep up knowing being separated would further delay our travel and just hinder the group's progress.
Archaic

"I'm honesty not worried about the driver at all. If you are strong you live, if you are weak you die. That is the way of nature and so I shall shed no tears even if we did have a driver. However, what I am more worried about is that I've never seen that type of species before. Granted there are new species discovered everyday, such as the Ignotus Gnar or the Kegawa, but rarely are they as strong looking as that. I really want to fight it to bring it down!"
Billgar

Concerned the three continue running blindly onward, with neither bearings nor a means of which to attain them. As night finally falls upon the desert, the land becomes frigid. Finally coming to an end, the storm settles and the air becomes plainly breathable.

A glow can be seen off in the distance. It looks like a grouping of tents.
Koku

Looking at the others I start heading towards the lights, making sure to be quiet. I keep the cloak on as it is suitable camo. As we get closer to the lights, I get lower to the sand, letting the wass come to my side as I move closer and closer till I can safely examine the situation. Though it is appealing to charge in, that may also lead to our demise.
Archaic

*Archaic moves a little in front of Koku, but makes sure to stay close to the ground just the same. Trying to conceal his presence, Archaic instinctively gripped Nosferatu with his left hand in case something went wrong.*

"So who wants to bet if those tents are going to help or attack us? I'm going with a group of mercenaries or at least some hostile force."
Beanbaker

I stay behind some distance and face the opposite direction, to keep watch for anything (if sight allows).  I occasionally peer behind me to watch the campsite and keep track of where the other two are, just to keep up in movements.

"I'm for poachers.  Who knows what creatures are out here unknown to us, that fetch quite the price in the black market, especially that giant bird that attacked us."
Billgar

After getting to the camp, and looking around it can be seen that there are several men patrolling the site. All of them wearing Warriors Fur, Sand Caps, and wielding Ram Dao. Entering the camp, archaic goes un-detected, but the movements of Koku and bean are not so stealthy, and soon enough they are discovered.

Sensing that running into the open desert would be useless, the travelers stay to confront the men.

Soon about 2 dozen of them encircle the party. Another comes running over. "Zeed! the boss is coming, wait until they arrive before we make any decisions."

Zeed looks at the man who out of breathe bends over and puts his hands on his knees.

"A bit out of breathe there ey Martel, well, I dont think we need the boss to take care of some lost little kittens HAHAHA! I say we just finish them off."

Martel still panting confronts Zeed, "Im not so sure thats the best idea, you may upset the boss."

"Screw the BOSS!!!!! Im strong enough to be in charge anyways!" Reaching his hands behind his back Zeed pulls out two Ram Dao shaped swords, however they are clearly different from the tribal variety. Both shining pure silver, with no ornamentation whatsoever.
"Satin and Silk! Lets finish off these fools!"

Zeed charges in and cross slashes at archaic. Before the blades tear into archaics flesh, he is stunned by the mans incredible speed.

*Archaic feels the heavy blow of the blades as they strike his body. Temporarily stunned, Archaic is more angry than anything else.*

"I don't know what I should be more frustrated about. Your attack actually hurting me, or the fact that I was only caught because of the people I was with. Oh well, prepare yourself Zeed for these will certainly be your final moments."

*Archaic gets up and spins the axe of Nosferatu. Grabbing the gladius with his left hand, Archaic throws the axe towards his assailant and follows it up with a strike from the gladius.*
Koku

"How dare you attack us like that. We are not here to fight but it seems we have no choice, at least against you anyways. You will die for such disrespect!." With that I charge at Zeed as archaic finishes his move, and kick him behind the knee to bring him down long enough for me to bring my stompblades bladed ends into his shoulders, making them dig into his shoulders.
Beanbaker

I look at the guys killing the man.  "Perhaps you two should wait for this boss.  He may be our objective, and I do not think killing his men will make him any better off..."

In case I am attacked, however, I hold my jutte under my sleeve and between my fingers, ready to jab anyone with a swift blow to the gut.
Billgar

As archaic and Koku each attack in turn, Zeed vanishes the moment before he is struck with their blades.

Appearing suddenly behind bean the two swords slash at beans back, injuring him severely., and forcing him to his knees.

I do not attack, instead I stand perfectly still. I wait to see if he will attack me or (hopefully not) my wass. If he does so I plan grab hold of him and his blade as he cuts into me. That way the other two can attack him while I hold onto to him.
Archaic

"What a tricky guy you are eh Zeed."

*Archaic begins his attack by furiously spinning the axe side of Nosferatu at a downward angle while running at Zeed. Gladius still in hand, it was more for looks this turn than anything else.*

"Let's see how you handle this shall we? By the way Beanyboy, your inaction after I got attacked will surely cause you to get in a lot of pain later on."
Beanbaker

"Yeah I've never seen you miss that horribly either Archaic, so I woudn't be talking.  He must be an ansatsusha, if he can outrun you."

I place my hands on the ground in front of me and spring forward, with my legs fully extended, and kick Zeed as I flip, then jumping back to thrust my jutte into his chest.
Billgar

Zeed appears just a moment before he strikes bean again, ready to deliver the finishing blow. Suddenly however the light of the moon vanishes from beans eyes, as a figure backflips down from the heavens. Landing behind Zeed, they get in a good blow with some sort of estranged dagger and end Zeeds life.

The crowd of men all kneel down

"Boss"
"Boss"
"Boss"
"BOss"
"BoSs"
they exclaim as they drop to one knee. The figure dressed in the outfit of a desert sheik removes the breathing mask that they are wearing. A beautiful woman, somewhere in her early 20s is revealed. Sheathing her dagger she looks to the travelers that were just a moment ago caught up in the fight with Zeed.

"How can I help you?"

I bow to show her I mean no harm. "My name is koku, and I will let the others introduce themselves. We saw the fire and were just examining the situation. I do not mean any harm to you, you do not seem too hostile. Is there any chance we can stay with you or can you direct us to food and water? I understand it is scarce here, so I understand if you are not willing to share."
Beanbaker

I get up, rubbing my wounds.  "We are looking for the city of Sahvar, to find a man by the name of Abdul.  We stumbled upon your camp here after our ride was attacked by a giant bird of some sort.  Do you know of any possible route there?"
Archaic

*Archaic dusts himself off and looks at her before putting Nosferatu away.*

"I am Archaic, but unlike those two I'm just more curious about what those weapons were that your lackey was carrying. Never before have my attacks missed, and frankly I dont recall seeing anything like his movements before. Was it just that he was powerful, or did those swords grant him something special?"
Billgar

At the mention of the weapons that Zeed has with him, her expression turns grim, and she seems to avoid the topic.

Drastically changing her emotions, she raises her head and looks up to the three of you.

"My name is Makire, thats Mah-keer-ray. A giant bird you say? Must have been one of the Sarmune. Its rare for them to attack humans but when food is scarce it happens form time to time. Sahvar you say? Your quite a ways away. At te very least it will take another week to get there by foot. Did you not bring any sort of beasts of burden to carry you?"
Koku

"The only "beast" we have is my little friend here," I say while bringing my wass out of cape. "I know it seems foolish to bring somethign that likes to live near water to here, but it was the only ting I could really do to make him happy. A week by foot is a lot, and the danger is very real. There must be a way to get a beast to ride on."
Archaic

"Beside, even if we did bring some creatures to ride on, chances are they would have been seriously hurt, if not killed, when we went down. Perhaps you guys can help us out, if you are not too busy with your own work that is. I apologize for bringing up that subject of the weapons however and I'm sorry for your loss."
Billgar

Makire looks over at a rather enormous tent that is in the center of the camp site. How you all missed it is a mystery. Letting out a whistle, the stings hlding down the tent snap and give way. A massive form moves from under the tent as it stands. The fabric falls from the creature revealing an orsa. "Karim, that is his name."

"Men! continue on your mission, I shall accompany these three to Sahvar." Changing her focus to you all, she gesture for you to mount the orsa. It bows down to accommodate.

"I have never seen one before... huge is right..."  I awkwardly climb up, sitting on top and quietly watching the top of the creature's head.
Koku

Approaching the Karim I pet him lightly. "Such a nice orsa, well trained and it seems very happy. You are very nice to it, for that I am very happy. You are one of the only humans I can actually respect."
Archaic

*Archaic looks at the huge beast and shakes his head.*

"I still think these guys are abominations of nature. It's like a walking house or something. Still, I appreciate the help and will make sure to take care of it as we venture forward. Although in all honesty, I am rather curious to see how fast these guys move. Guess we'll have to see the fun way."

*Archaic jumps and climbs ontop of the huge beast.*
Billgar

As the four finally get ontop the the monstrous creature, it begins to move. Seemingly slow, it presses onward, however, its size along makes it travel ground rather quickly which is surprising.
Markire speaks, "Its not the fastest in the world, it it will get us there 3 days quicker. also if we need rest during the day, it can provide shade for us."

A few hours go by and the camp is well out of site. the day is windless and the heat is intense. Without warning, the orsa stumbles and collapses in on its front leg.

"Dammit! I thought that it was strange when you mentioned that a sarmune had attacked you before. And here they are again."

Looking down you can see that three sarmune are attacking the leg of the Orsa.

"Something must have gotten into them, they usually aren't aggressive enough to take on something of this size. Arg! I guess there is no way around it, one of you has to go down there and take care of the problem."

"Beanbaker, you are able to handle these guys. The poor orsa needs to be comforted right now. Handle the fight yourself, show what a guard can do!" As I say that I start to pet the orsa softly just making sure the sarmune do not come at it again. I try my best to keep it calm. As I do that, Saiko gets out of my cape and jumps onto a sarmune that passes by and starts to ride it. I stop petting the orsa as I chase that sarmune around making sure that my wass does not get hurt by it.
Archaic

*Archaic quickly smiles and charges towards Beanbaker before pushing him off.*

"you heard your cap'n now get going! Let this be the lesson as to why you never fallback after your teammate gets struck. Fight with all your heart kid and maybe we'll come down and support you."
Beanbaker

The only thoughts go through my mind....

"Bye bye armor" as I look to the shining bronze still in its wrappings...  "If I die I'm haunting Archaic, and I hope the sand is soft.... forty feet is a lot...."

Regaining composure, I shift my body to try to swan dive directly into one of the birds.  "I hope you know what you're doing, bean...."  Pulling out my jutte, I yell the rest of the way down from the acceleration.
Billgar

Landing awkwardly, bean falls ontop of one of the Sarmune, killing it instantly. A fortunate event as it both saved his life and took out an opponent. Bean lands and readies himself. Suddenly, the two remaining Sarmune are upon him.

In one of his preferred stances, bean holds out his jutte pointing forward, ready to both defend and attack at the same time. Suddenly beans right leg gives out, apparently damaged by the fall. He smiles a bit as he realizes the irony of hurting his leg to save an orsa with a hurt leg.

Feeling weak, he holds up his jutte and prepares for the worst.

A blinding light suddenly overwhelms the scene. The sound of the two Sarmune can be heard as they clunk against some large metal object. Opening his eyes, a magnificent shield is held within his own hands. Familiar yet different, its aura is righteos and its presence strong. Immediately Bean knows the name of the shield. Zurgus. The shield being quite lighter than one would imagine, as its appearance and size foretell weight, bean comfortably hold it in one hand.

Spoiler:

A whip drops down into the sand near bean. Looking up he sees Makire looking down from the orsa. Its all i have, but seems like you will need it!

Bean picks up the whip. With it in one hand and the shield in the other, he stands ready to fight the foes before him.

"Yay good for you, but you are taking too long killing them!" With that I wait for the sarmune (2) with my wass on it to come near me so that I can grab my wass while simultaneously jump kicking the sarmune.
Beanbaker

"Zurgus...."  After a moment of spacing out, I twirl the whip around, making the distinct cracks in the air.  I kneel, Zurgus in front, and start hammering away at the air in front of Sarmune 1.

"If you have any sense of danger, Sarmunes, leave.  If not, then you will surely perish."

Waiting for Sarmune 1 to make its move, if it attacks, I intend to get it caught in the whip attacks, then try to circulate its wing with the whip and bring closer in.
Archaic

*Archaic sets his targets onto Sarmune 3 before jumping off of the Orsa and trying to land on the bird with his gladius aiming for its head. Realizing that the plan seems rather futile, he also prepares the axe and swings it in the direction of the bird.*

"What a nice shield you have there Kid, I can't help but fight after seeing it."
Billgar

Spoiler:

Clarification: There are only two sarmune, the third was killed by bean when he fell.

Koku catching his wass, jump kicks the bird square in the head. Though they are far from  weak, Kokus power is devastating, and the bird takes a sizeable amount of damage. Retaliating, the creature manages to bite onto Kokus torso, but the guard captain is unphased.

Bean during this time begins his attack on the remaining Sarmune with his whip in hand, keeping zurgus in front strengthening his defense. After striking the bird, the axe from Nosferatu interupts bean's match finishing the bird off.

"I was born here, daughter to a couple that once traveled with the group that you saw back there. However your origins seem to be much more interesting. Why have the three of you come to the desert? Billgar

"We have some matters that we are looking into at the moment, but that aside, we are a nomadic society that left sahvar many generations ago. The men are known throughout a larger portion of the world as some of the greatest warriors ever to live. That aside though look ahead!"

Looking a bit ahead, there is  a small pool of water near a medium sized rock formation.

"That looks like a good place to take a bit of a rest."

Your caravan arrives and all dismount. The orsa bows down and begins to drink.
Beanbaker

I walk out a bit to climb the rocks and look around.  Hoping something a little more interesting than endless sand dunes may be around, I sit up there for a few minutes, and drawing on a cloth in what direction landmarks are.
Billgar

Bean surveys the area, but at first sees nothing, after a while however, he manages to spot a small glimmer off in the distance.

"That the city of Sahvar," interrupts Makire. "Anyways, we dont have time for the others to amke their move. We must keep moving forward.'

Bean drinks some water and feels refreshed. The caravan moves forward, but after awhile stumbles upon another group of the strange birds that swim upon the sea of sand.

Beanbaker

I climb down the side of the orsa's head.  Keeping myself wedged between the neck and the body, any sarmune that decides to attack the head or the left leg will be countered.

Looking up to Makire, "So what is causing the sarmune's food supplies to run low?  I have never seen anything attack an orsa before like earlier, but that must have been some desperation."
Billgar

As soon as Koku hits the ground the rightful order of nature takes place. The sarmune back down sensing his intense presence and killing intent. Once more the party sattles up and moves on. Makire finally responds to bean.

"It has never been like this before, the Sarmune seldom attack man at all, and even then it is rare to encounter then as the desert is large and they avoid areas that get a sizeable amount of traffic."

The conversation trails on a bit, and eventually night falls. The group makes camp beside the orsa. Its body temperature provide heat during the icy cold of the desert night. Partway through the night, Koku, Bean, and Makire are woken up by the yells of archaic.

While sleeping some figure snuck up on him and attempted to end his life. Though gravely wounded from the event, archaic was still alive. However the figure responsible was no where to be seen. However with no place to find cover surely the assailant must still be in the area.

One of the latest events must have left him temporarily unconscious without anybody noticing. Now however, he was awake and in pain. Picking up Nosferatu, Archaic stared at it as he let his blood wash over it.*

"I'm paying you with my blood to help me get the person who did this to me. Whoever it was, I will not let you feast upon as I am going to dangle them upside down from a tree as I make a lot of tiny but deep lacerations all over their body and allow them to slowly bleed to death."
Beanbaker

"Your anger is rational... to you... but doing anything now short of staying put is irrational.  I say stay together, and stay awake.  He or she cannot, so I hope, take all of us at once.  Hopefully we can take notice in the fact he did not end your life, which either means he was scared and thus hasty and sloppy, or just plain inexperienced."

I climb on top of the orsa to look around, trying not to disturb it as it sleeps.  "I don't suppose we have much of anything to make a fire with... Makire, how long is it until we reach Sahvar?"
Archaic

"This is the second time you took inaction after I was attacked Beanbaker. You may consider yourself an arbiter of peace, but your actions are nothing more than a cowards. Or perhaps you wish for my death? Either way I am going to look for the person who did this to me. I mean look around, there is like nothing out there so he should be relatively easy to spot. But you know what.. you can stay here in your safety, I am going to seek vengeance."

"All that voice of yours does is run run run... even you - an assassin, did not see that coming.  If you leave, I am not following you.  Even if you ever find this person in the dark, the sarmunes would take you as a nice nighttime snack."

I sit down on the ground.  "Stay and live - for the benefit of us all - or go satisfy your rage and vendetta - and die out there.  I'm just as anxious to know who did this, but I like to not become dinner.  Besides, you've been through worse."  I hold out a petal to him.  "No matter where any of us go, you need this."
Koku

"Heal up before you o on. There are clues to what happened to you and who did it. The cuts is a key factor, and the fact that he attacked at night is significant too. Let's first think about those two things before doing anything else."
Billgar

Makire gives her opinion.

"Archaic, I am sorry for what happened to you. Though I do not know who did this, I do know of similar incidents. There is supposedly another desert tribe, much like my own, that left Sahvar. They however fight with a different style.
Training in the desert since youth legend tells of the warriors who can swim under the sand. These I thought to be nothing more than myths to scare children from wandering away from the city, or going out in the night, but in this present circumstance, my doubts are lessened.

If it was one of these rumored men, then there is nothing we can do to find them until they resurface again, and that is only IF they resurface again. We should reach the  next town by noon tomorrow. I suggest we take turns keeping guard until then."
Koku

Already being rested from the nap I took on the orsa, I volunteer myself to be the one who stays awake. Getting out of the bed I grab my blades and stand near a corner watching over everyone else to make sure nothign happens.
Billgar

The night draws on and eventually dawn approaches, nothing happened throughout the night and it appears to be safe for now. The caravan of travelers settle up and and make way for Sahvar, they arrive, as planned, at noon.

The city is very much alive despite being in the dessert. White clay buildings are all around and there are several individuals selling items on the streets. Children screen as they run about. A few men in guard uniforms patrol the area on their daily rounds.
Koku

Before moving on I look around the town to see if there are any shops, or locations such as alley ways that may be interesting. I let the others talk to the guards as I explore the new area.
Beanbaker

I look to Makire.  "Will you be joining us when we meet up with Abdul?  We could use the help, no matter what it is.  We have little knowledge about much of anything here, but you do."
Billgar

Koku breaks off from the party to explore the city. He comes accross many shops and vendors selling an array of items. Some prominent buildings are

Weapon Shop: Armor Shop: Herbal Remedies: Bottle Vendor: and a few stalls selling food.

Bean looks over to talk to Makire. The orsa was left outside the city and she had followed them in, but now it appears as though she had vanished into the crowds. Archaic is still nearby and in sight, leaning against a post and dozing off.

"How much for each tatus root and for the ancient secrets I see you selling. You seem to be very good at growing crops, which is very good to see."
Archaic

*Archaic sleep walks over to the armor shop and approaches a nearby piece of warrior's fur. Feeling it while comparing it to the size of his own body, the zombie like Archaic likes the feel of it. Walking over to a random person, Archaic looked at him with closed eyes and mumbled something.*

"I'll give you 300 GC for that warrior's fur over there."
Beanbaker

I walk in the door of the armor shop.  Seeing Archaic and what looks to be his eyes closed, I just turn around and leave.  I stand outside and wait.  If he walks out with his eyes closed, I'll just jostle him awake.  Hopefully his purchase is of his own will.  If not, it will teach him to sleep less to prevent more mishaps.
Billgar

The old woman looks slyly at Koku.

"Thank you young one. I have been growing tatus for many years. When I was young, I used to be a great warrior and had a small patch of soil that I tended within the forest of souls. But now I Humbly grow tatus here in Sahvar. Though its quite difficult to cultivate a strong plant here in the desert. Since you seems to be pleased with my crop I will see you those ancient herbs for 300GC, with that much I should be able to live quite comfortably for a while at least."

--------------

As archaic half-heartedly murmurs his words the little girl that he unknowingly target runs away screaming.
Beanbaker

I run inside to check on things, and looking at Archaic, then the girl running away, I remove anything that happened to be covering my hand at the time, and slap Archaic across the face, waking him and hoping to leave a nice red spot.  Then I start shaking him.  "Wake up!  You are scaring people.... again....!  And that was for pushing me off and orsa!"
Archaic

*Archaic still sleep walking takes out Nosferatu and wraps it around Beanbaker's neck. Walking slowly while dragging Beanbaker, Archaic also holds the warriors fur in one hand and targets his next person.*

"I'll give you 300 GC and this slave for the fur."

*Archaic still half asleep tugs harder on Nosferatu and icnreases the wrap around Beanbaker's neck.*

"By the way, where's there a good place to heal up around here... I feel like a pack of rabid wass have been chewing me up."
Beanbaker

I stand up, choking.  With Nosferatu's blades near, I cut the palm of my hand on the ax and smear it on Archaic's face.  "You better wake up now, or I'm going force feed you wass droppings from the islands," as I stutter and try to hack out the words.  "Whoever you may be please just buy the fur or find the store owner!  And I am not a slave!"

After smearing blood on Archaic's face, I pull out Zurgus to help me wrench the rope from my neck and gain some breathing room.
Koku

"Three hundred GC does sound like a decent price, but I must ask, have you ever been to the capital before? I am curious to know if you have any experience with the sights there. Before I buy I want to make sure you know what the capital is like."
Billgar

The woman at herbal remedies rants for a while about a trip to the capital when she was younger, but that now in her old age, she is unable to get there.

At the arms shop the keeper speaks to archaic.
"Yes, there is an inn literally across the street."
Archaic

*Archaic awakes with a familiar taste in his mouth and notices the red on his mouth. He also noticed that he was literally dragging Beanbaker by the neck and had a pair of warrior's fur in his hands. Looking at the reasonable price tag, Archaic still feels as though he can get the price lowered a bit more.*

"I don't exactly know whats going on, but I notice that the warrior's fur is 400 GC, but is it possible to obtain them for 325 GC? In return I will leave here peacefully and release this guy."
Billgar

"I will sell it to you for 350, no less. Also your threats are no good here, as the guards in Sahvar are great in number."
Archaic

"I see, and I will graciously accept the offer of 350 GC. I apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused you when I was... incapacitated, and I will also like to thank you for the information regarding the hotel. Do have a good day now."

*Archaic goes to pay the clerk for the Warrior's fur, releases Beanbaker and begins walking to the hotel to get some quality sleep.*

*transaction in process*
Billgar

The clerk give archaic the fur and graciously takes the 350GC. Archaic heads out across the street and enters the inn. He is greated by a young woman with short cut hair and freckles.
Archaic

"Hey there, I heard I could get a room here to rest up a little bit. I was recently hurt by some coward and need a place to heal. Do you have any vacancies here?"
Beanbaker

I scratch the raw skin, a red line around my neck.  "I guess he's still mad.  Not my fault, even the big bad assassin didn't see that coming."

I bow to the sales clerk and apologize for the scuffle, and walk out the of the store.  "I need something to drink... perhaps there is a tavern around... and hopefully something more civil than just alcohol for this intense heat."

I walk further into town, dodging people and pets as they come along.
Billgar

The girl bows down to archaic without even questioning his odd attire. Yes, we have rooms available for 4GC a night? Would you like to take a rest? You will recieve a complimentary bottle of water if you stay with us.

---------------

Bean spots a street vendor with a "huge bottle" in his hand.

"Water, get your water! only 20 UC a sip! Precious water here!"
Archaic

*Archaic looks at the girl and counts his money. With more than enough GC he lays down 4 coins.*

"So which way to the room? The sooner the rest the better. You may also want to stay out when I'm asleep as I guess I have tendencies to torture people without even realizing it."
Koku

leaving the herb shop I decide to go into the commons of the town to relax for a little bit. It would feel nice to be able to relax just one.
Beanbaker

I scratch my head, thinking of the perplexing idea of water itself going for a price, before remembering the fact it is a desert.  I take a good look around at how many people actually show signs of dehydration, and who has it the worst.
Billgar

The Girl directs Archaic up the stair and uses a small key to open the door. There is a nice bed inside, and though the room is small, it is indeed clean. She brings archaic a tiny bottle filled with water.

------------

Koku heads off to the middle of the town, some children are playing. One of them is throwing pebbles at a tonsor that is loitering in front of one of the vendors.

----------------

Bean looking around surprisingly doesnt see many people who are dying of thirst. Perhaps there is a secret to their health.
Koku

I go to the vendor and see what he is selling before trying to find the orsa we sat on into town.
Billgar

The vendor sees Koku and widens his eyes at his approach.

"WELCOME! what is it that you are interested n buying?"
Koku

"What is it that you are selling here. I am interested in all sorts of goods, so please do not be afraid to tell me anything." As I say that I wait for a responce.
Billgar

"I fear my business is more obscure than that, I simply carry the means to realize goals and ideals. So I ask once more, what do you seek?"

---------

Archiac wakes up well rested!

Archaic

*Getting out of bed and stretching, Archaic can see traces of blood that have stained the bed and decides to make a quick escape. Jumping out of a window and landing on his feet, Archaic makes his way through town looking for a weapon shop.*
Koku

"I seek to know who you are, and where paradise can be found in such a dry place. There is some water here, which means a source must be nearby, perhaps the source will lead the way. Even underground rivers lead to a destination if followed from above."
Billgar

The vendor replies to Koku,
"Ah. . so it is knowledge that you seek. Perhaps knowledge is the most valuable commodity in all of Nocte, however the knowledge that you seek is of particular value. I will lead you yo water for 100GC, but the knowledge of who I am is something that wont come so cheap."

----------

Archaic before long stumble into a weapons shop. They have a variety of weapons that are made by that areas forge.

Tonfa: 65GC
Wooden Sword: 5GC
Serrated Club: 390GC
Bisento: 230GC
Wooden Bow: 5GC

Arrows: 10GC
Rock Arrows: 80GC
Power Bolts: 160GC
Archaic

"Tch, you have nothing that is of interest of me here. What I crave are the weapons of a true assassin; the shadow daggers. Does anybody know where I can possibly attain these items?"

*Archaic looks around the room waiting for a response.*
