In the murky water of the lake, it was said that powerful monsters lived. Looking down into it, I can not see a thing besides the stars in the sky. The lake was too deep to see the bottom normally, it does not help that it was night. The smell of the forest greenery was thick, with only a small smell emanating from the water. Diving in the sound of bubbles going up can be heard while the moon shines down softly onto the water. Looking down nothing can be seen, but a presence other than mine is felt. It is in here that a battle would take place.

Sunday, July 6.
Beanbaker, Schmall and I have ran away from the town that was covered in Lizards. I know not where they came or why they attacked, but I know that those numbers were dangerous. After running sometime however, we have appeared to enter a trading post. It is completely abandoned aside from the bugs of course. Of interest is an old shack that most likely provided some guy a place of business. However, there is no trace of that guy left and when I entered, there was little of interest. However, underneath the sheet of dust there may just be something useful. However, Schmall is calling for us right now and thus I will have to report back later...

This is it! A hole has been found, but where it leads we know not! I searched inside the shack and made some rather incredible finds. Aside from discovering that I am slightly allergic to heavy amounts of dust, we also found a lantern, some rope and some string. The lantern, combined with the rope, will help us illuminate some of the hole while the string will come into for my own reasons. That is to say that I shall attach it to my gladius and make my gladius not only versatile enough to be thrown and/or stabbed into an enemy, but the string itself can be used to form creative attacks. However, I really must be going back to the other two with my findings...

Schmall has now lowered himself into the hole. Why Beanbaker or I allowed him to go down first is beyond me, but alas down he went into the rabbit hole. It was interesting to see his slightly smaller body get lighten up by the lantern, but when it disappeared I got awfully bored. I just want to try out my new rig right now, but there are no enemies to test it on and I am not yet in the mood to be a "backstabber." However, Schmall has just called up and reported about a bunch of dead lizards, and I am dying to check it out. But before ending this message I must say that I am extremely hungry right now and I could really go for my noodles, but those will just have to wait I suppose.

"Over the past couple of days, I have been hearing murmering in the tavern about serpents down in the sewers. After actually seeing what one has done to someone, I decided to check things out myself.
I descended down into the sewage with a crowd of onlookers above me watching. I was about thigh deep in the rotten, foul smelling, muck. The current was not strong, but there was a pole for balance. I spent a few hours down there searching and searching. The only thing I discovered was a tatter excuse of a cloak. Figuring what the heck, I slashed the thing to shreds in front front of the onlookers. They cheered and hooted and boasted my name. I earned a crowd of fans that day by destroying a cloak. I hope the other warriors like beanbaker and archaic never hear of this. I would be the laughing stock of Nocte for sure!"

Archaic, Schmall, and I accepted to gather owed tax money from the non-responsive town of Evroul. Upon arriving to the town in a less-than-perfect carriage, it is evident that the town and its citizens were in poverty. Some children knew we weren't from around. Upon a rock was what is believed to be part (or was) the town militia, and older man by the name of Ector.
While Archaic conversed with Ector, then left to look for something to drink, Schmall went off, two girls by the names Cecille and Elle. I went into the fields, more of wandering around, and being cautious of the Hae He (almost ended badly).
Before long Ector asked the girls to leave. By his gestures, he was looking for a fight. He knew what we were there for, and wanted to stop us. Archaic and I took him on, while Schmall found a tonsor from a flock to take out Ector's Hae He pet, Vance. Ector, armed with a halberd, was rather quickly taken down, but not as quick for he was still nimble despite his age. He suffered a rather gruesome death, and I regret my final blow, and how the girls were watching then. Still haunts me...
Chozou, a formidable looking man as well as the village leader, came out and begged us to stop, and he would pay. He handed us the money, but he said it was saved for medicine. Archaic quickly though of a compromise, and traveled back to the capital to tell the emperor. Schmall and I stayed back to look around for trading opportunities for the town, and I ended up getting socked in the face by an intoxicated man. Worthless scum. He should be working rather than drinking.
Archaic returned with the news from the emperor. It was a deal, and taxes would be paid in the form of the local resources. Chozou was relieved, although still sad for the death of Ector. They prepared for his burial. Poor man...

" I've been following the wind for 10 days, and it's blown me to the next city. It's a pretty good sized city. As I was walking down the streets I relized that there was something different about this place...something just not right...but I can't quite put my finger on it. The first place I always stop in a new area is the bar. The easiest way to find food, drink, lodging, and people willing to talk....normaly. I have never seen such a dingey bar before. The people here are very unfriendly. Hardly anyone in the bar is talking. so I struck up a dance that has encouraged more than one man to talk with me, and more than one drunk man to try to take me home. No one in this place so much as blinked an eye. I'm still not sure what's bothering me about this place....off to bed."
Next day
"I am working off my drinks and trying to set up shop here in this bar. The short one is a bully, but it's his bar I guess. I figured out what was bothering me about this City. There's not another woman to be seen. ANYWHERE!!! I think these may be the queer outcasts from other citys and towns....that would explain no women, and no one even so much as looking up at me. It would also explain the frustraited bar tender....that short one's always so ANGRY!! At least a girl doesn't have to worry about rape here!! Besides...there's bound to be a need for me. I can't imagine that a city full of men has much of the homey, hospitality that a woman can provide. Maybe this is the reason for the wind bringing me here."

Starter quest one: Monday, July 28, 2008
I set up a small camp only to wait hours before any lizards came my way. The first lizard was small. Looked like a baby lizard. He came and slept by my fire. The other lizards did not like this so two very ferocious lizards came and tried to kill me. the first lizard being the larger one completely lost track of my by jumping over to the other side of my fire leaving me in a one on one battle with the smaller lizard. after bringing him down to his last leg i turned my attention back to the larger lizard. rushing to attack the smaller lizard jumped in front of the larger one saving its life but losing its own. After that the larger lizard and I had a battle royal to the death with me prevailing...barely. I completed the quest and am logging it.
