Tiger has a major headache and not feeling well back on Saturday. So she went to bed early and I was able to stay up and dual Koorlic. As long as I dont stay up late every night, I get to do so every once in a while. She hates going to bed alone.
As for Sunday, I had time to kill. So I hoped online.

Nice it was a good surprise to see indeed. I hope that you can do it about once a month or so, that would be really good.

Oh, I also worked this past weekend also. That meant I was online from 2 till 8pm all day. Thats why I was able to dual Archaic. I work once a saturday per month. I work the second saturday next month with tiger. I hope we can have some more fun then. I intend to have my weapon and Lumpy Jr ready by then and go for anther dual with someone.

If you get Koorlic on maybe you guys can duel me That would be a lot of fun! Aso, it is good to see you will be around on some weekends.

Ya, that dual was fun. I was glad to see the traps flying like mad. Otherwise we would have taken a couple more hours to finish that dual. We were also sharing my computer. I was signed in on Firefox and he was on IE so that we both could stay logged in. It was funny really. Neither of us really could type things in advance and the other was watching what you were typing.

Sounds like a fun yet somewhat tedious way of doing things, still it was nice to ahve you both online, hopefully he will start coming around more again? Well we can hope at least. But anyways im sorry to hear that she was feeling sick, and i hope she is better by now.

We had a long weekend. She is leaving work early today. She will get some rest and feel better tomorrow hopefully.

that is good to hear. Hopefully you do not get sick. We will have to wait another one or two days to see...

I literally cant afford to be sick. I will come to work sick if I must. Besides, its rare that I do get sick. I have to be malnuturious and sleep deprived to pull it off. Even then, I dont stop. I just ignore it. Cold, flu, fever, I just ignore it and keep doing what I need to do.
If I was to stay home all day sick, a few people better be online to keep me company.

Yeah whenever I work at the registrars office at my school, I always go in even if I am sick and they send me home in an hour anyways. Last year I had perfect attendance and it was awesome. that is one of the reasons why they are working so hard on getting me federal work study funds to continue next year.
However Schmall if you were sick and online I am sure there would be the usual people on LE anyways.

INdeed, I will be on no matter what. In fact it may just give me an excuse to go on. Still, being sick is no fun and it would be better if you slept it off.

True. You can only sleep so much though. I get restless sitting still all day. Now that the Rec Dept is done for the summer, I need to find something else to keep me physically active. Perhaps I will come up with a work out schedule for myself and see if I can make it into a habit. Prlly only last about two weeks before I get bored of it.

The thing with a work out schedule is for like a month or more you have to do it every day! if oyu do this then it becomes a habit and not a chore and your body should feel awkward if you skip it. Like classes care cancelled tonight but i will still do my own workout.
|
Koku

Also, if you start you should continue are else your body will eventually build up more fat when you stop. I prefer to do nothing for now, I am good with that technique.

I used to be able to run 5 miles for track practice and be thankful that it was an easy practice. Used to running lots and run hard too. Now I breathe hard when I run a short distance. Hate it really. Need to fix it and i know how. just need to do it.
|

I think I can run 5 miles if EXTREMELY determined, but I think it will b e very very painful. I have not ran for a while, but last time I decided to run after not running for months I was able to go 6 miles.

My legs would be able to do it. Its my cardio I am worried about. I have not been truely active on a reagular basis for the past couple years. I know what I was capable of doing with ease and get frustrated when I dont perform as well as I should.

well....YOU want to run....and the dog wants to run....hmmm....maybe you should start running with him!!! He'd love it...and he'd be more calm in the house...
Even if I was walking him every day....that dog need to run....even if we start doing tailgaiting with him...we've gotta start doing something with him

Actually about a wek ago i had to run for a bit. I dont know how far as it was inc ircles, but it was for about half an hour at mroe than a good pace. i handled myself surprisingly well. I suppose the cardio i et in from all my other workouts helped out.

running around in cirlces in the same spot is boring. when I had to run 10 to 15 minutes around the field for soccer, I would take a ball with me. I started a trend. The coach made everyone dribble a ball while doing our warm up run.
As for the dog, once we get him to stop pulling on the leash so much, I will see about running with him. I dont need him yanking me off my feet mid stride just becuase he saw a blasted cat or something.
|
Tigereyz85

but have you tried jogging with him. The lady we got him from said he had done jogging with his previouse owner...and most of his excitement in chasing the cats is out of bordome...If you haven't gone jogging with him yet, I'd suggest putting the gentle leader on him, and going for a short run and seeing how he acts.

Man I wish I had a big dog to run with. It would make weekends a lot of fun. Regular days I worry to much about LE, but weekends I would take for really long jogs. It would be so much fun and beneficial to both of us.

Dezul (pronounced Diesal, like the fuel) is our dog's name. He is a Dobermen Pincher. A good 80lbs and very hyper. Because of that, he is easily bored and gets pushy. He thinks he owns the place and we have to remind him otherwise.
|
Koku
|
Yeah, it is all about training him right. It is also about giving him a lot of area to run in. Big Dogs need a lot of space to run.
|

that's what our whole problem is....he can't be loose....1) we live in town and 2) he won't come back.....so we rigged up a long 50ft rope leash for him to run on...and he's broken off four or five times....and we can't let him run in the hockey rink in the summer...he jumps the walls....so...we're either going to tailgait him (hook him to a pole and Schmall drives while I sit in the back of the rig while holding the pole and let him run behind us - the pole prevents him from getting under the tires, and you NEVER go above 2-5 MPH!!!...like in Turner and Hooch) and/or Schmall needs to start running with him....

I think you shoudl jsut make schmall run...alot. Fear should work, think of something he likes and threaten to hold it back from him, either that or think of something he doesnt like and threaen to do it. You live with him if im not mistaken so it shouldnt be too hard to get him to do something. Either that or just make him watch a never ending chain of hercules and other warrior movies until he feels that his day cant start without a 5 mile run and an intense workout.
Sorry schmall

The problem would be is that I would fight back. I would do the exact samething right back. She gets more easily annoyed with my habits then she does with mine. I can just stay up and late and make her go to bed by herself. She hates it when I do.
Anyways, yes, we need to do something about getting the dog to run some more. It also bites the fact the way our schedules work. Tigereyz needs to get up early to walk him, I spend my morning with the dog, or we do it all after work in the dark (getting darker earlier and earlier). either way, our work schedule doesnt help.
|
Koku

Your schedule seems to be a big problem. Unfortunately, if you do not think you can care for it well, it may need to go back. Yes it is mean to say, but it may be for its best. I am sure you will find a way for it to work out though.

Yeah dogs are creatures that really do need a lot of attention and a somewhat free schedule as to give them the attention they needed. As far as some of the ideas I heard such as the tailgating one... don't do that. Its something you'd only see in the movies for a reason. Not only is it somewhat mean for the animal not to move at its own pace, but it really does make you seem either negligent or extremely lazy.

I actually want to be able to walk the dog while I roller blade or bicylce. The problem is that I fear him pulling me over and getting me hurt. As for running him, I just really need to get off my lazy rear end and get it done in the morning. He is an awsome dog. full of personality, when he choses not to be stupid, and loves to play. He has no issues with strangers that we have over and doesnt jump on people either. I am just not much of a morning person. I am a night owl and tigereyz is a morning person. That is the biggest issue with our schedule. We will work it out. Its been getting better slowly.
|
Tigereyz85
|
I still say we tailgait him....at least untill you get off your lazy rear end.

Or you can just take a different route and get a robot to walk the dog. It will be a ton of work at first, but after that it is simply just controlling him from where you are sitting. It would also look cool too.
|
Schmall

A robot that shots out tazers at dogs that try to attack our dog. Now that would be cool. Too many people in this town dont put thier dogs on leashes or even tie them up. Twice we have had issues with different people down the road and muliple problems with the ones down stairs. I mean, there is a leash law people! And we get yelled at for doing everything proper and thier dog attacks ours. So a robot that shoots tazers at agressive dogs and thier owners would be nice.

I think with those cases it is when you call the kennel to come grab some dogs. Someone needs to take action. You sound like you are already almost enemies with them, you might as well just make them realize their problems.

I will make a new thread about this. I can go on and on. I also believe we are really straying off topic. but yes, we have a couple of enemies because we actually handed someone a leash since they never use one.
