Schmall simply waits. Back straight. At attention. Not even acknowledging the conversation near him for he knows that his rank is next to nothing here. So he simply waits. Only looking at the Emperor's feet, afraid that eye contact would be seen as a challenge of some kind and would lead to trouble for him.

*the emperor wakes up as he was evidently sleeping with his eyes open*

"Hmmmm...yes yes we have indeed heard the rumors and are not too sure of what to make of this character! I feel death is harsh, but so be it."

With that koku swiftly kills the old barkeep and pulling out a bottle collects the soul

*looking at schmall*
"Well we cannot leave the tavern simply unattended now can we?"

*beanbaker approaches his eminence and receives an Imperial Message which he hands off to Schmall*

"With that for the time being you shall watch over the tavern until We decide what to do."

Schmall Exits.

"Well, I'll clean this up. Yet, do any of you have any idea what we're going to do now? If its a spy, he might already know we're on to him. Plus, do we have any idea where s/he is from?" After asking I pull the corpse out of the court and to the morgue in the dungeons.

"Hmmmmmm........i think for now that it matters not. As we had NO idea that it was a spy, simply a man stealing from the people is how We looked at it. Plus as it stands we have no ill will with other nations."

"I think for now we should keep our eyes on anyone suspicious. Anyone who does not seem to be a native is now on my list of suspicious people. I am sure we would be fine though."

Walking back in, "That's still a big list, and we can't cover everyone at once. We need more patrols at the guard checkpoints at the borders, and even someone stationed at the tavern itself."

"That would be good, or we could send out conscriptions (drafting) for the army. It would be nearly impossible to track this spy, for I am the definition of conspicuous with my armor, and Koku is too known as captain. Do we have any spies of our own?"

Bean looking over his shoudler as he does on break from his psot maybe for a snack or something...who knows. Sees the emperor smiling and throwing gerald up in the air and catching him repeatedly

*Archaic approaches the court and enters. Walking casually up to the emperor with a bag he stops when he reaches the stairs to the throne and kneels down before placing the package down.*

"I have the taxes from Evroul your highness, collected yesterday the 26th of July. It contains 1000GC, 5 Hae He, 2 Tonsor, and 50 Uticensium Seeds just as you asked."

*Archaic then waits for a reply before turning back and walking out of the court.*
