In the carriage Drieton waits eagerly to arrive outside the forest of souls. When the carriage finally stops, the forest can be seen ahead, as well as some trees outside of it. This is the stop where he shall find Perching lizards to destroy.

| I poke my head questioningly out of the cart. I see nothing so i venture farther.....and farther......and farther right to the edge of the woods. When I look back at the cart the driver waves as if to say..."what? your not finished?" So I figure I have to wait for the lizards to appear. I find a nice little spot to sit on a rock and make a fire. Here I wait for the lizards. |

All around noises can be heard in the trees. Eventually a lizard gets curious and heads towards the warrior. _________________

Hearing a faint *crack* I look up. It has been hours since I have started my fire but at last a lizard has shown itself. A curious looking fellow he seems to have been drawn in by the warmth of the fire. It is chilly out so the cold blooded lizard must be shivering so far away.
The Lizard is small. Maybe 2 feet from head to tail. But for me it is a big lizard indeed, perhaps a quarter my size. He does not seem to be stalking me but merely trying to get to the warmth of my fire. So i let him nose around. He gets within 5 feet of the fire and lays down. closes his eyes and dozes off. I was under the impresson that these lizards were deadly so I stayed on my toes.
I decide not to kill the sleeping lizard just yet. I don't want to scare away all of the others lurking in the darkness. If they see that it is "safe" to come and lay in the warmth of the fire then perhaps another would come and join this little one. So again...I watch, wait, and listen. |

While the 1 foot tall perching lizard sleeps, two more appear behind it. They appear to be more angry then confused and are intent on fighting. It appears those two are unhappy about Drieton being in their area and they will not back off until he leaves. It seems like a fight is inevitable. _________________

Seeing that these two lizards meen business I stand up. I know that I cannot take them both on at once so I decide to try to scare them into submission. I pick up a decent sized rock and walk around to the other side of the fire where the small sleeping lizard lays and smash its skull with the rock. It twitches for a few seconds while letting out a squeel. A few seconds later it stops moving...It has died.
Angered the other lizards begin charging. I put myself between the fire and the lizards. I take off my shirt and light it on fire and begin twirling it and screaming like a mad man. One of the lizards veers while the other lunges forward trying to take a piece of my face. But the light of the fire flickering all around has has confused the lizard giving me just enough time to duck sending him sailing into the flames.
*Obviously I have droped my shirt by this time* The lizard jumps out of the flames and begins twitching on the ground letting out screams of pain. I pick up my trusty rock and put it out of its misery.
Concerned about the third lizard I begin looking for where it has gone. But obviously its friends unfortunate end has scared it off.
I have killed two lizards. And decide that I must leave before any more come to avenge their fallen comrades. I grab my lizards.....and rock.....and make for the cart. |

Hearing the lizards get closer, he realizes he was day dreaming. All the lizards are still alive, and the two are still angry at him. One of them approaches fast and is ready to attack. (Please describe how you plan to attack using your long sword, and know that it is only what MIGHT happen depending on the dice roll). _________________

waking from my slumber he realized a sword has magically appeared in my hands. I stand up and put myself between the lizards and the fire the small lizards wakes in surprise and scurries off into the woods. the larger of the two lizards running twords me has a good two seconds lead over the other. I know that if I avoid the first lizards attack I can easily slash down the second lizard leaving me in a one on one with the larger lizard.
I plan to slash diagonally at the second lizards neck as it lunges at me if I can avoid the first.
*sorry i wasnt aware that we were working with dice and moves here. ive never done anything like this.* |

*Note: it is ok, now that you know you will do fine*
Avoiding the first one, he seems to have left the perching lizard in confusion. Diagnolly cutting the other one, he cuts a good wound into the chest of the perching lizard. Angry, It quickly goes up the sword and bites Drieton in the neck. Shaking it off, Drieton eventually sends it flying off with some flesh in one of its mouths.

Stabbing the perching lixard where its lungs should be, Drieton manages to puncture one of the lungs, causing much distress to the lizard. It is now very angry and tries to snap at Drieton a lot, but only manages to nip him a few times in the legs, causing many small wounds. Kicking it away, Drieton gets ready to attack again.
Drieton does 16 damage
Perching lizard does 5 _________________

the smaller lizard is unable to move as it bleeds into its lungs. It gasps for breath. I turn to see that the larger lizard has made his way back around the fire. he is standing in front of the fire slowly closing in. I rush at his screaming which startles him and makes him jump backwards placing his back feet in the fire the creature squeals in pain as i lunge forward and stab at his neck.
*does the fire do any damage to the lizards or can i not use those tactics*??? |

*sorry it as of now only your sword can do damage*
As Drieton attempt to charge as the larger lizard, it appears that the smaller lizard still had some fight left in him. As drieton goes charging at the larger lizard the smaller one seems to get ahead of him and as Drieton goes to slash at the large one, the smaller one jumps in front of the attack and gets mortally wounded. Quickly succumbing to his injuries, the perching lizard dies. The larger one now pays full attention to drieton, and is now even more angry.
Drieton does 7 damage
Perching lizard dies
Drieton gets the body of the dead Perching lizard. _________________

Jumping back to gain some ground on this large lizard and make a plan of attack the lizard begins to come tword me. but he looks to be limping and in pain from the fire. taking advantage of the lizards slowed movement i begin to run circles around him. When I feel the moment is right i run in with an upward slash hoping to hit the creatures trechia.
*might have to leave for dinner soon if i don't finish this quest now ill finish it later* |

Spinning circles around it, the lizard does not need to move as far, and as such reserves more energy. Charging in now, Drieton's attack seems more the prepared for by the perching lizard. As drieton stabs, the lizard jumps back, making it only get a cut on its stomach instead of getting a full fledged hit. It then charges forward at Drieton and bits at Drieton's right shin, creating more small cuts that cause a good amount of blood to come out.
Drieton does 5 damage
Perchign lizard 2 does 5 damage. _________________
