The gates of the capital open wide revealing the large red bridge that connects the small island to the mainland. The patchwork repairs are reminiscent of battles past, and the Hans Kibadachi catastrophe. Setting out. The cloaked figure walks across the bridge, getting to the other side, Koku realizes he has no means of transportation to get to where the letter instructed.

"Well then, I guess this will be a great workout. This item business fascinates me." After finishing talking to myself I start to make my way out I realize my wass is following me. Putting him on my shoulder I start to walk into the open. With water by my side, as well as some rations of dried food on me, I am ready for whatever comes my way.

After wandering for a few hour into the plains, Koku eventually spots something off in the distance.  Unable to tell what it is from the path, it is perhaps no more than 2-300 yards away.

Looking around I first see if there is anything around me such as creatures, buildings, or the likes. It is better to be prepared for traps than fall victim to one.

It seems that aside from a sunburnt tree and a tonsor in between, nothing abnormal is about.

I make my way closer to the object, looking down, to my sides, in back of me, than forward  making sure nothing is near me. I close my eyes to try to sense anything either with smell or hearing that I may have missed as I approached the object.

Finally getting in close to the object Koku realizes that it is not in-animate. Rather, a man lays facewon in the sand. His hair dark black with dust in it. Perhaps he has been laying there for a while. No wounds are apparent on his body, but he doesn't seem to be breathing.

As Koku looks at the corpse, the wind picks up and dust starts to violently whip around. visibility becomes null.

Feeling around his body I look for anything valuable, or anything that may have caused his demise. I close my eyes and use hearing and touch over sight.

Closing your eyes you realize that it is jsut as hard to hear as the wind blows violently. Dust and wind scratch at your face. Fumbling with the cloak, it is impossible to stop it from getting in. As you inhale some, instinctively your body coughs. The ground begins to shake violently looking up a shadow appears through the storm of sand and dust. Massive it is like a large building.

An obscenely loud cry comes form the beast as it pauses for a moment then continues onward. several more follow it in suit. Though not able to see clearly, the creatures identity is obvious as there is no other creature in all of Nocte with those proportion. Orsa.

I stay down, but using a hand to cover most of my eyes, while holding my other to the ground, I prepare to evade the stamped of orsa as the move. I do not attack them, it will just end with my death.

Eventually the horde of Orsa Pass by. As the storm subsides visibility returns, however, the path seems to have become covered up by the newly moved dust, and can no longer be seen. The tonsor that was wandering the area before seems to have asphyxiated during the sand storm.

Determining the time, and then the position of the sun, I determine which way is east. I then try to brush off some of the sand, to determine where the path may be. This would take a while, but it would be very important in continuing the quest. Before setting off I check the corpse for anything valuable again, but not before making some type of marker to show which way I need to go.

Heading off in the supposed direction Koku begins tediously brishing away sand to find the old path. After about 5-6 hours of exploration he reveals it and thankfully is able to follow it by brushing away bit by bit as he moves onward.

After a while, the sun beating down from above transforms the inside of his cloak into a makeshift oven.

Drinking a little of the water I brought with me, I open the cloak as much as it will to allow air in, and the old air to escape. I continue on my route hoping not to lose my place. I bring out the Glorstin Fungus in order to keep sight of the path.

Koku, keeping hydrated charges, on and eventually reaches the destined area. Searching about he soon finds the underground cave by luck(having tripped on a large stone hidden by sand, and his intense power having caused it to go flying, revealing a small opening.

Descending into the cave, Koku finds himself in a radically different environment.  Though rather dry, the air is still and the enviorment is cool. Rather than a dusty yellow brown, the environment is a cool blue color. Wandering in a ways, Koku comes to a dead end. The room is spacious. though little light is present. Fortunately, Koku has some Glorstin with him.

Spoiler:

OOC: Nice, Glorstin Fungus!
