You get on the covered wagon that arrives and head out to the location. After a few hours, of rather fast travel you arrive at the location. Looking around, the sun is strong and lizards are warming themselves on rocks.

I come out from the wagon. Looking around the field, I see them on the rock. Remembering form the book i read back in my home country, about lizards that are from the west with two heads. I step up to one of the lizards and sing to it in my native language.

The mysterious language fills the air near the rocks. Some half-awake lizards are spooked at the unfamiliar sounds, and rush for the bushes. One lizard lazily picks itself up and stares at you for a few seconds, then begins to move in a pattern. Some lump birds roost overhead, listening to the soothing sounds. The perching lizard looks to be dancing.

I keep singing and pull out a strange instrument that jingles and walk a bit further from the lizard to see if it follows me.

It lazily falls off the rock and rolls a foot or two before regaining its balance, and dancing in its trance. Some of the lump birds follow overhead, jumping from branch to branch. One young lump bird, ambitious in its abilities, jumps from one branch, but never makes it to the other. It falls a few feet, landing on the dancing lizard. Both thrash about in a wild mess, kicking up sand and dust in small gusts. The lizard and the all the lump birds take off in scattered directions.

For a lazy bird, it is fast when it runs. It seems to be more of spooked that it fell on the lizard, but apart from some ruffled feathers, it looks fine. It would have to be too, it eventually runs into taller and taller grasses, becoming camouflaged in the undergrowth. A pack of lizards, able to sense the scurrying lump bird, run in fear. One lizard, however, sits, unperturbed by the uproar. It does not even acknowledge that its pack has deserted it.

You circle the area, and the lump bird that fell from the tree is nowhere to be found. As you search the area, the stranded perching lizard on the tree watches your sporadic movements with great curiosity.

It is strange, the lizard does not respond. It continues to stare. One head begins to doze off. The still-awake head looses its attention and starts eying a guard patrol far out in the distance. One guard drops down and picks up a brown fuzz ball, puts it on his shoulder, and jumps onto a carriage, speeding off beyond the horizon.
Turning back, the lizard's companions start to squawk in warning, to warn their brother of your presence. The lizard on the tree turns its attention back to you, and keeps staring. It is deaf. |

I look around to see if there is the lump bird that got hurt. I start to dance to catch the lizard's attention and try to get closer to the lizard. If the lizard doesn't pay attenction i continue to look for the lump bird.

The lizard immediately intrigued wakes its second head up, and jumps to the ground. It tries to follow your movements, but the lack of arms like humans leaves the lizard making circles in the dirt.

You swing your arms around in sync with your dancing, and instead of you picking the lizard up, the lizard jumps into your hands. It turns as it dances, and when you stop dancing, it continues to tap its feet in your hands. It stops, sensing the decrease in movements. Both heads continue to stare at you, but it does not move, except to move its feet out from under itself and sit in your hand.
