She did, but they didn't find out she was a girl until about the fifth battle, and sence they were winning they didn't kill her.

No they only killed her for being a witch. They would kill anyone for being a witch back then. Her enemies called her a witch, but that is the only reason that she was killed.

Joan of arc was origanaly from Doreignme(forgive the spelling) France. Her original name was Jeanne D'arc..the english changed it to Arc. When she was 10 she heard and saw St. Cathrine in her local church. St. Cathrine basicly told her that god had something special planned for her and for the time being to just be a good child, and obey her parents. Then, when she was 16-18, Cathrine told her to prepair to leave her family, that she was going on a mission for God. she went from village to village, city to city, helping people along the way. Then she made it to charles. Charels was supposed to be crowed king of france, however the ENGLISH (NOT THE GREEKS) had envaided france(at this point in time....there was france, bugundy, and england. Burgandy was the area's of france that were making pacts with the english.) The City with the church where the prince was to be crowned was under seige by the english. Joan of Arc learned to fight, and led an army to distroy the english and lead Charles to his crown. She claimed that it was by the will of God. She goes on to further chase out more of the english, in an attempt to unite all of france under charles. Later On Charles betrays her and trades her off to Burgundy, who sell her to the english, who try her as a heritic(for those of you who don't know what that is, a heritic is someone who belives they talk to God, and do things on his orders....it's up to the church to deside if they are legit. or crasy-heritic.) They try her, find her guilty of being a heritic, and burned her at the stake. Later on, her predictions of france uniting as one and forcing the english out came true. Rumes say that when they burned her, her heart was still beating when the fire died down.
