Since I am lazy and cannot hold both a few twizlers and a cup of cola at the same time while going to my room, I put the twizlers in the coke. It is something I usually do with food to consolidate my life, plus bite off the end of twizlers and you have a good straw.
What was funny was when I got to my room I heard sizzling. I looked into the cup and the cola was bubbling like crazy. Right now it has died down considerably, but it was a funny reaction. Now the twizlers taste good after the soak, but something happened in the cola that altered the taste a little.

I used a twizler as a straw before. It worked well with my soda. Still, that combo is a little weird, and how hard it it to hold the twizlers outside the soda but in the same hand as the can.? It would not be that hard. _________________

First, it wasn't a can, but a cup. Plus, I'm lazy. Not lazy enough to bring up the can itself, but I have a habit of leaving cans everywhere. When I took a twizler out, the bottom was smoothed out. Maybe the acid I guess, but it became soft, yet chewier than usual.

That would be the batter acid- like coke. Just goes to show what damage it does. Also, I am guilty of leaving cans in my room, but only for as long as a day or two. After that I get rid of them. _________________

I usually throw mine in my trash then pull them out and throw them into the bag to recycle them. I have one Dr. Pepper can on my desk that has been there for centuries. Plus, the acid in cola used to be able to take the rust off of cars. Now its more subtle, can clean a penny in 24 hours.

Man coke is a crazy strong acid(like how the twizzler was smoothed out). I mean it can unclog drains and clean metal!

Regular coke is more powerful than diet I believe. Kind of feels like it is stinging on the way down if you are ill-prepared for it. I guess it would make a good cleaning agent to an extent. My spanish teacher said something about a restaraunt pouring some on a table and wiping it. It would make things sticky though...

yeah coke is crazy super bad for your teeth and thus should only be consumed as soon as you forget the taste, but never sooner than that! Still as for the reaction... next time you should pour in some pop rocks at the same time... and make it diet coke and put in a mentos at the same time!

That might be true, but I think water might work just as well and would be easier to get. With how acidic it is though, everythign is possible. HEck it could probably disolve an eye if on it long enough.
