In the 19th Century, Akuma (demons) plague the world, killing innocent humans. This is all part of the grand scheme of the Millennium Earl, who wishes to destroy humanity once again (referring to the Noah's Arc situation). Along his side are powerful group of people called the Noah, who have abilities that make the more then normal humans. In order to prevent this from happening, those chosen by God fight using special weaponry and tools that have special abilities. These items are innocents, and are the only things that can destroy akuma as well as the Millennium Earl. Those with the power of innocents ban together, in an organization called the Black Order working as Exorcists.
The story is about the adventures of a group of Exorcists, Particularly about one, Allen Walker who fight the akuma. Allen Walker was cursed from one of his actions and now has an eye that allows him to see the souls of the akuma. He is also the pupil of one of the strongest Exorcists of all time. With his friends, he tries to stop the Millennium Earl in a story filled with action and tragedy.

All and all it is one of my favorite series. I have already watched 92 episodes of it, and plan to watch the other 5 out tomorrow. There are times when I lose track of time because of the events happening. This series has a good amount of comedy, a whole lot of action, and a good amount of drama- and ties it in all very well. The characters get developed very nicely throughout it, and even though the basic plot seems small, the amount of story in it is pretty good. The opening songs are great too. I do not regret sacrificing over a day to watching it, it was worth every second. Though it has left my eyes weaker and left me tired from the constant reading.
