I was given a free Monster energy drink the other day, and I have to say I think I paid too much for it. The taste was absolutely disgusting and I am sure it took away 10 years from my life. It was pretty bad that as I was drinking it, one of the veins on my forehead was seemingly pulsing hard as I could feel it expanding occasionally. It was not a good feeling, but rather discomforting. The worse thing is it did not even give me energy, but made me a little sleepy. it has been an hour and I can still occasionally taste it still. Whatever you do, avoid these energy drinks of doom at all costs.

I drink those things like nothing (within reason, don't worry). I think you just had some sort of bad bodily reaction, since when I first had one it had no effect, good or bad. What kind did you have, and was it cold or room temperature?

I actually like the taste, though i dont really drink them...or rather, i just plain don;t drink, them. As you all know i am a tea person. And occassionally lemonade.

It was cold and I hated the taste but it may be because I do not like energy drinks. I myself am now a strawberry milk person (thanks to Gintama and a little bit of Tokyo Majin). I am not sure why it affected me as such, but it was not pleasing.

That is just unfortunate. Monsters are usually different when cold. Oh well, you tried something, you didn't like it, so, better luck next time?

Yeah I will go back to my night drinks of Pepsi and Mountain Dew, they at least do not do anything but destroy my teeth for the most part. I think I should have been weary with the type being Khaos and all, it gives me a good warning on what it will do.

I recommend the green Jolt. It has 5 calories, no sugar and still tastes amazing! It is basically water, caffeine and some awesome flavoring. Granted this is only true for the green Jolt, I am not a big fan of the rest except maybe blue because it tastes like blue raspberry.

Yeah I love blue jolt but can not find it anywhere convenient (and the internet for me is not). As such I am left joltless which is sad. Jolt is by far the best highly caffeinated drink there is.

Energy drinks have a peculiar taste, I try to stay away from them as much as possible, which means that within the last year I've had one.

That is about the same as me. However jolt is not necessarily an energy drink, but just a highly carbonated soda (at least the blue one is). It tastes really good and does not leave a nasty aftertaste.

I had a friend that had around 5-10 large energy drinks per day.... we told her to stop since I'm pretty sure that stuff was killing her a day at a time

that much was killing her 1o days at a time...each. The drink I had felt like it was killing me quickly. Having a throbbing vein in the forehead with every sip was scary.

I had a friend at school eat a whole pack of the Jolt gum at once and was sent to the hospital for a caffeine overdose.
